Dublin, Clarion Hotel Dublin Airport

As a business customer on arrival all looked well, i made the mistake of paying there and then. I wanted the 4 star luxuary for one night...but that never happened. This is not a four star hotel. It is a 0 star Hotel.

The room they gave me was 384 which was on the other side of the three buildings they have. I walked for miles and they dont have lift up the flights of stairs.Carrying heavy bags after a long day the walk nearly killed me and i had to back to my vehicle to collect one last bag so i walked another marathon. The smell in all of the corridors upstairs and downstairs was of smoke and for some strange reason the all doors we all open on all the rooms on the lower floor with no one staying.

The room was very basic not at all like the photo. The hotel was very old. I would not even have rated it as a hotel, an old B&B would be more like it. Showers very old, craked floor and wall tiles. Room clean, old furniture.

The staff lovely but they seemed very surpressed. They were trying their best to work within a hotel that was old with old ways and no management moral.

The hot breakfast was not value for money, i love beans i the morning these tasted really funny and looked like they had been there a while. Food was did not look well sitting in the dishes. For a four star i though you would be served the breakfast. They charge for parking which is €7 a day €14 euro for one night. The only consalation was the bus to the Airport. That was run well. This is a below par and standard hotel for the rating. Dont go near it unless you are desperate. Go to Premier inn down the road its a Marvelous hotel.... And the food fantastic.
