We've Stayed Here A Few Times Over The Last Five Y
We've stayed here a few times over the last five years and cannot fault it at all. The hotel is basic, but clean and the rooms are equipped with all that you need. Greek accommodation is often basic, so we don't mind this.
The staff are lovely, they cannot do enough for you, and they do everything possible to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. We will continue to return for many years to come!

The Exotica Is One Of The Nicest Places I Have Eve
The Exotica is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed in. I cannot fault it in anyway. The staff are fantastic, will do anything for you and with a smile. The food is great with good prices, the rooms spotlessy clean, and the pool.....fab!
The highlight for me was the relaxation room. The treatments are wonderful, so relaxing and thought provoking - I had Reiki, reflexology, hot stone & crystal energy balancing and a facial! I will go back and have Sue teach me Reiki, I have thought about learning it and now I have found the best teacher at Exotica. The work thet do with the animals is fantastic, there should be more pople like her in this world. The hotel are even kind enough to allow them to help the animals from there. Whilst I was there they rescued 3 tiny kittens from a bin bag, which they were allowed to care for, clean and feed at the hotel!
We went out on one of the day retreats...all I can say is wow! Perfection from start to finish. The hotel location beautiful, the Reiki - second to none, the lunch good and the boat trip....the best - we saw a turtle so close up, dived from the boat in the caves, swam with hundreds of fish, fab fab fab. When you go ask them to show you the special cave....words really can not explain the beauty of it...you have to see it! The trip was so much better in all ways then the bigger tour companies offer!
The tarot card readings are brilliant, very accurate and to the point. I have lots to think about now and thank them for!
I would reccommend this hotel to anybody, even if you are staying somewhere else in Kalamaki, everybody is welcomed at the hotel exotica.

The Hotel Exotica In Kalamaki, Zakynthos Was Adver
The Hotel Exotica in Kalamaki, Zakynthos was advertised as a Thomson Superfamily, and we found it anything but. The kids club seemed OK, although my son didn't attend, but the overall entertainment was very poor. There was supposed to be a kids disco 3 times a week, but this only happened twice while we were there because of the celebrations on the island for St Dennis's day, and then it only lasted for 30 minutes. There were supposed to be regular quizzes and competitions in the evening, but if the entertainment guy didn't think there were enough people around he would cancel them. The 'entertainment' guy was no more than a kid of about 17, who it seems went there on holiday and managed to blag himself a job for the rest of the season. Don't get me wrong, given half the chance I might do the same myself, but he was completely the wrong man for the job.
The rooms were basic with no TV, but I suppose that's not really a bad thing, and we didn't actually miss it. The were not quite as clean as I would have hoped, and there always seemed to be dust or sand on the floor, which meant it was uncomfortable to walk barefoot. The breakfast was awful, with watery scrambled egg, baked beans with a skin on them and toasters that seemed to take forever. We paid for air conditioning that had to be repaired twice, and we had to go to reception 3 times before we could organise a late checkout.
Overall, we had nice time, but that's only because we made the best of what we had. I wouldn't recommend this hotel, but I would suggest a visit to the island as it is beautiful and the people are lovely. A trip to Milos for dinner is a must.
