We Have Stayed At The Family In Hotel In Zakynthos
We have stayed at the Family In Hotel in Zakynthos before, and we will go back again. If you take my advice and a book your holiday here, be sure to at least try some of the chefs "specials". In particular, I found his steak wraps accompanied by a very chilled Magners cider was bliss!!

Have Just Come Back From The Family Inn Hotel - Wa
Have just come back from the Family Inn Hotel - was a lovely place to stay. Location is about 5 minutes' walk from the start of the main "strip" of bars and restaurants. Can thoroughly recommend the "peppermint" restaurant next door - by far and away the best restaurant in Argassi. Pool bar staff are friendly and welcoming - to comment on previous review, Dino appears to still be running the hotel, but the bar is run by a friendly English family. But seeing as the hotel was 95% occupied by Brits during our stay it didn't make too much difference to the ambience! Good prices as well.
On the down side, the self-catering was fairly basic (just a couple of hobs and a fridge) but then that's par for the course on the island. Also, if Libra had told us sooner that there was no air-conditioning then it would have been helpful! But fans were available to hire and this helped at night.
Wouldn't go to Zante again (as I think we saw pretty much all the island had to offer in our visit), but would recommend it to others.

The Family Inn Hotel Looks Very Nice. The Apartmen
The Family Inn Hotel looks very nice. The apartments in the older block are less than basic, like something we stayed in 20 years ago. They do not have air conditioning as the brochure states. The pool and bar is very clean and run by an nice english couple. If you want to get away from the busy resort front to eat, then turn to your right as you come out the hotel and walk, you will soon reach some nice traditional tavernas. This is also a shortcut to the resort centre.

We Have Stayed At The Family Inn For A Few Years N
We have stayed at The Family Inn for a few years now and it has always been of the highest standard. The rooms are not luxurious but they are extremely clean and tidy and have all that you need. The pool is of the highest standard and is looked after diligently by Peter. The pool bar is very nice, serving drinks and food all day long at reasonable prices. The bar at night is a lovely place to end the evening, Dino and his staff are really proficient and cannot do enough for their guests. We have heard, 2005, that there has been a change of staff which I personally find disturbing but I think that this is because I have just got used to Dino and his family and without them I cannot imagine it being the same. If, as we have heard, it is being run by English people I feel something will be missing - Coals to Newcastle - so to speak. However, I must not judge without testing. Will send another review later this year.

The Family Inn Hotel Looks Very Nice, But The Olde
The Family Inn hotel looks very nice, but the older block of apartments are not so nice. They are very basic, resembled something we stayed in twenty years ago in Greece. The pool and bar are very well run and extremely clean. If you prefer a more traditional setting to eat, then turn right as you come out of the hotel, up the hill and there are some nice tavernas there. The first one you reach on the left was the best.

A Lovely Hotel, On The Outskirts Of Argassi. The S
A lovely hotel, on the outskirts of Argassi. The staff make you feel very welcome, and are very helpful. The pool was clean, and there was a good pool bar, selling a good variety of snacks and lunch (not just burgers)
The location means you are far enough away from the bars for it to be peaceful, and near enough (about 2 mins) from the restaurants for it to be convenient.
Rooms are clean and basic, as to be expected from most Greek accommodation
