Alykanas, Blue Bay Apartments

September 09. Have just come back. Blue Bay Apartments although spacious and clean, very poorly equiped kitchen in a freestanding cupboard. Pool area unappealing. Poor bathroom and usually lack of hot water. Would not recommend.

Nice rooms, cleaning was okay. Basic things were missing in the kitchen, like dish towels, sponges, pots, wooden spoons, cutlery. Hot water only on special times. The owner was very unfriendly, he told us not to drink beer in the garden, he told us not to lie in the garden some times. Was definitely not worth the money we spent.

AVOID THESE APARTMENTS!!!!!! Basically although the owner advertises that these apartments are open they clearly are not! I have just spent four days in the Blue Bay Apartments and had to endure either no hot water or no water at all, no swimming pool, no bar, no staff, no reception and a family (caretakers/janitors) that appear to live in the two bedroom apartment that we booked!

When we complained to the owner (by telephone) he told us to leave the apartment and that we should not have expected running hot water! For a weeks stay he wanted 580 Euros. Suffice to say we left and found sanctuary elsewhere.

I have been to Greece and Zante many times. Honestly, I have never felt as ripped off.
