Bar in the Alykanas Village very expensive - go across the road to Bonkers Bar or Dilema instead. Cleaning provision very basic - just a quick mop and make beds. Our towels were only changed once in one week. We asked for more bit the receptionist insisted we'd had a second change of towels which we argued that we had not. They eventually relented and grudgingly gave us two towels with a promise that the whole bale would be replaced the next day - it wasn't!

The courtesy room is a joke! A basic shower in one corner along with toilet cubicles & people can come & go as they please (no locks.

The pool areas are lovely and most of the views are amazing, however be prepared to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve your sunbed along with everyone else as if you leave it till 8.30am you've got no chance!

The Thomson entertainment team provide the entertainment and do a great job. Overall a good place to stay, just be prepared for the afore-mentioned.

The Resort Has Many Places To Eat Some Better Than

The resort has many places to eat some better than others but generally very good. There is also the next town Alikes which is full of bars and restaurants. The hotels entertainment is provided by Thomson's and their reps, they do a fantastic job in keeping the children entertained my son loved all the activities provided during the day as well the evening entertainment. If you don't like noise around the pool go and use the quite pool, that's what it's there for.

Zante's airports been refurbished, it's no-longer the shed it use to be so the return journey isn't the nightmare it use to be.

I've read some reviews saying things are expensive the only place I got mugged was at the duty free shop and that was by the wife!

Great Holiday, Hotel Located Right On The Sandy Be

Great holiday, hotel located right on the sandy beach. Shallow beach so safe for kids. We spent most of our time by the quiet pool with our 3 year old. The other pools were a bit noisy with the loud music during the day.

Entertainment staff were great, espcially boogie baz! Kids club reps were great and really good with the kids, even though our daughter didn't want to go in there.

Would definitely recommend this resort to those with kids.

Great restaurants to go to - Paradisoko ( or something) fantastic, and i'm a fussy eater. Apollo was nice as was Dionisis. Vagi's was horrible, very basic and greasy.

Had A Lovely Holiday, But Hotel Bar Very Expensive

Had a lovely holiday, but hotel bar very expensive for drinks (reasonable for food though). Not much to do for under 3's, although Creche facility was fantastic, with really caring staff, but that is only for 2 hours and costs 15 Euros per session. Best for kids aged 4-12??

Reps were enthusiastic, but could be annoying when they were trying to be DJ's. I had a bad fall, which I told them about and the rep said 'Oh dear. Did you want to do the quiz?' so not always helpful!!

Lots of good tavernas - best was halfway between Alykes and Alykanas (Paradisiko or something similar??), Poseidon and Dionisis good too. Dilemma Bar is excellent - huge trampoline, 2 slides and Wii for kids, and football, movies, cocktails and beer for adults!! Very welcoming.

I Went To Alykanas Village With My Friend, We Are

I went to Alykanas Village with my friend, we are both 18 year old females. We wanted to go somewhere that had plenty to offer us during the days as we are not major clubbers. We couldn't have asked for anything better as it was a family resort and extremely safe. Our apartment was very clean and modern, had everything we needed and every room has a view of either the beach or one of the 3 pools. The place itself was amazing as 4* hotel. The beach was gorgeous and sandy and directly centred in the village. There were few bars and not really any clubs although you can do day trips to the lively Laganas. The only down side was the village restaurant desperate for you to pick their restaurant which can be quite annoying. But overall a fantastic holiday.

The Alykanas Village Was Wonderful And All The Roo

The Alykanas Village was wonderful and all the rooms had pool view. The best bar to drink in was the D&A bar, they made you really welcome and made sure you had fun. Another bar was the Iguanna Bar, really nice staff. The Greedy Greek restaurant - we had a wonderful time there. Saturday night was Greek night, we had a really fun time, our waiters were great and they gave me a bottle of wine on our last night really finished of our holiday!

Overall a great, relaxing and also a fun holiday - great!

I Emailed Directly To The Hotel Requesting, If Pos

I emailed directly to the hotel requesting, if possible, a sea facing view after looking at their website. This was given at no extra cost.

This has now given me a headache at finding a similar self catering hotel, right on the beach in a quiet resort for next years holidays.
