Hire a car and tour the island. Kamerios excellent.

I thought Lindos Acropolis was over rated, too many coaches. Lindos beach excellent for snorkelling.

Rhodes old town well worth a visit by day or night.

Bus service from main road every half an hour up to 1.00 pm then every 2 hours

You must be fairly fit to go up steep hill. Not suitable for elderley or infirm, unless you hire a car, there is a lift in the hotel.

Have just come back from a week in Rhodes with my Girlfriend.

We stayed at the Lindos Star hotel just outside Lindos. Taxis to Lindos cost 8E there and 5E back. The hotel itself was very good, with air conditioning and satellite TV. The rooms were cleaned every day and the staff were very friendly.

Lindos is a perfect resort for couples. Very pretty with a good choice of bars and restaurants to keep you entertained in the evening.

I would recommend hiring a car to se the Island. The scenery on the West Coast is breath-taking, I would definately recommend taking a trip to Monolythos Castle.

We also visited Falaraki (strictly for research purposes) which was ok if your after that sort of thing. Lots of packed bars. If only the other half wasn't about.....

I would definately recommend doing a tour of Rhodes Old Town which is packed with history. The only sour point is the price of drinks in some of the bars/cafe's. We paid 12.50 Euros for a milkshake and orange juice which is my opinion is just ripping off tourists. My advise is to ask the price, if it's not stated, before you order anything.

On the whole though it was an good holiday. Rhodes is an excellent Island offering a good mix of day and night life.
