Kefalos, Sacallis Inn Hotel

Fantastic holiday at the Sacallis Inn. Just what we would expect from a Greek holiday.

Our room was on the 2nd floor (the top floor, no high rise buildings here) with a side view over the beach and the nearby island. The room was bright and airy, spotlessly clean and fairly modern, with a hairdryer that was more than adequate in the room. Towels and bedding were changed regularly.

In the restaurant food was brilliant and amazing value, we ate at a few different restaurants, but the food was never any better than the Sacalis and no other location had such an amazing setting. Breakfast was cereals, bread, jams, yogurt and honey, ham, cheese and tomatoes, also watermelon or cake most mornings...more than adequate. The building of a new dining room was completed the day we left, that will make it suitable even later in the season when evenings aren't as warm.

The staff were so friendly, greeting you everytime they saw you, taking time to chat, not sure how they deal with complaints (as mentioned in other reports) because we had no complaints!

2 useful things you may need to know are:-

You may be glad of beach shoes to get in and out of the sea as there is a 2 foot wide strip of pebbles at the edge of the sea.

The chemist is a good 40 minutes walk away so take emergency supplies with you.

And we'd recommend this hotel and resort to anyone that wants to go to a Greek island and feel as if you really have been to Greece

Rooms spacious, bathroom bigger than expected, cleaner came in everyday, friendly people and right on the beach. Plus a pool next door that you can use. Only a short walk to supermarket and restaurants and not far from the bars (far enough not to hear anything). Only bad point, repetitive menu, but will make any dish you request. Want to go back already and we've only been home 5 days. Better than most other places we stayed in.
