Lassi, White Rocks Hotel

The White Rocks Hotel offers a high degree of customer service, quality rooms and a location that is both close to the Capital of Kefalonia; Argostoli and only 5-10 mins from the airport. The newly refurbished hotel

can be found on the edge of the purpose built resort Lassi. The hotel has its own private beach, but is also conveniently located next to two lovely sandy public beaches. The staff at this hotel are all lovely and work incredibly hard. The food served in the restaurant offers everyone a huge selection of choice and a great view out to Sea with beautiful sunsets every night at Dinner. There is a nice sized swimming pool, several bars within the vast grounds of the hotel and free sunbeds and shades on the private beach. Would recommend paying a little extra for a sea view room. There are several restaurants and bars in the resort of Lassi which is a 10-15 min stroll from the hotel. A taxi to the capital is only 7 euros each way which is nice for a night out in the buzzing capital. The hotel seemed mainly suited to those middle aged looking for a relaxing break. There is no entertainment provided in the evenings which is the only disappointment that perhaps the hotel could easily rectify.

This was our first visit to the White Rocks Hotel and to Kefalonia. It is a very attractive island with very friendly people most of whom speak English. The hotel albeit very clean and tidy, appears to have been built by an NCP car park architect (concrete shuttering which doesn ' t reflect light)! The Staff are excellent and are always ready to help. The main draw back was our room. Based on the third floor (one above the main lobby), our room overlooked not the ' mountain scene ' the First Choice brochure eluded to, but trees right outside our balcony making it very dark and the main road into Lassi less than 30 feet away! Noise was awful from cars, mopeds and several lorries from the cement works nearby. These kept us awake most nights and early mornings. We couldn ' t use the balcony properly for this reason and always had to keep the windows and shutters closed! We strongly suggest you take a sea view, or one of the bungalows (anything away from the road), because when full, there is no chance for a move! Drinks are also very expensive ' 6 for a V&T ' 16-22 for a bottle of plonk and beer at th ehotel wasn ' t the cheapest!

The White Rocks Hotel in Lassi is in a wonderful location, lovely hotel and wonderful service, great food. Staff very friendly and helpful. I can't think of any bad points, perhaps it would have been nice to have had coffee and tea facilities in our room and the hair dry was a bit difficult to use has it got quite hot to hold if you have long hair to dry. Great Place, wonderful hotel will go there again
