My Wife And I Went To Sani Beach Club For Our Hon

My wife and I went to Sani Beach Club for our honeymoon, in the beginning of September. From one of the many private Hotel Buggy collecting you at the private hotel gates all the way to the free beach and pool towels... this hotel will do anything to make you feel special. As the hotel manager, Carlos told us, he wanted us to feel at home, if we wanted something, ask and they will get it.

This whole area is just stunning. From Pine Forests to the cleanest beach and Sea water I've seen in the Med. for the week we were there, the water was calm everyday so diving and snorkeling is well recommended.

The hotel brochures and even their resort web site just do not do the place enough justice as far as I'm concerned. The bungalows are smart, clean and all have air-com. The gardens are impressive. The Three bars, each with their own style offer a wide range of drinks (mainly at UK prices, so not cheap). Hotel entertainment in their open air theater is naturally very entertaining and well presented.

The restaurant is large and very spacious. The staff, as though-out the complex is helpful and keen to assist whenever they can.

The food standard is incredible. A wide range every night and the chiefs are constantly cooking and producing fresh platters thoughout the whole evening. Keep an eye out for the Fresh Pancake Lady :-) and remember to take your plate away or your end up with 9 pancakes, fruit and syrups galore . Shame :-)

We did use the dine-around program, and it does work well. If you go here, you MUST go to the 'Tomata Restaurant' in the marina. I promise, it will be one of the best meals you will ever have in your life, the afterwards have a drink at the 'Sea-bar' on the harbor entrance perfect.

For all the great things there are a few things to be aware of

The main hotel pool is very deep, around 5 meters for most of it, so not so great for young kids.

There are a large number of wasps around, so before you order and eat any meals outside remember to ask for the "burning coffee" . Again trust me, it works.

Our wedding was fantastic, and then to follow that, our honeymoon here just made it all an incredible week for us both.

We both have incredible memories of our first visit here and without a doubt we shall be coming back to this club/resort.

I hope you enjoy your time here as much as we both did.

:-)

I Am A Frequent Visitor Of Halkidiki And My Grandm

I am a frequent visitor of Halkidiki and my grandmother actually owns a house there. I chose to stay my 15 day vacations with my girlfriend in Sani Beach Club because I wanted some privacy.

The only nice thing about this hotel is its marina with the various shops/restaurants and its location. The owners have booked deals with famous restaurants in Athens to bring their businesses in the marina during the summer, which makes allot of Greek people from Thessalonica visit the place. But this is the "forefront window" of the hotel which allures you into choosing to stay there. It was very difficult to find a room, because the hotel is packed with tourists that come in groups with agencies like TUI, Thomas Cook etc.

When I finally got a room I felt lucky, but little did I know. The 240Euro,15sq.meter room was a long distance away from being considered as A class. At most it makes a B-. To start with, there is no room service (!). I had to find it out the hard way, since the welcoming brochure stated that the hotel has room service until 24.00, but when in the third day of my stay I came back from the beach all salty and thirsty, I called them up and asked for a bottle of water. To my surprise the woman said that they don't bring water. When I asked what services does room service provide, she replied that they can only bring the breakfast (which is included in the room price) with a 6 euro charge. So I had to "travel" with my car for about 2 km to the marina to buy a bottle of water!!!

The extremely small in size bathroom had a shower so tiny that when I tried to take a shower the curtain got stuck on me, which felt disgusting. The curtains of the room had holes in them. The pillows were extremely uncomfortable, that I ended up having a backache. The cleaning ladies came every day but changed our bathroom towels every 2 days, made up the room and never in our 14 day stay did they change the bed sheets! The only place I was allowed to park my car was 100 meters away from the hotel entrance and under the strong sun which turned it into a mobile sauna. The day we were to leave somebody from the hotel slide a letter under our door stating that we should leave before 12 and leave the key with the reception! On a positive note the beaches were very nice and there was a remarkable festival with many artists. All in all expect a B class hotel with A+ class prices.

Halkidiki Sani Beach Club - After Having Stayed At

Halkidiki Sani Beach Club - After having stayed at the Sani Hotel last year we decided to stay in the Beach Club this year. The main reason being the large, airy, spacious restaurant. The restaurant in the hotel is pretty cramped - especially at dinner time. We used to walk along the beach every day to the Beach Club...which is a nice walk in itself.

The rooms in the Beach Club are large with a bath - the hotel rooms only have an ensuite shower room. The shower is TINY! BUT the hotel pool is nicer with padded sunbeds - so it's swings and roundabouts depending on what you want!

There are cool walks along signposted walks in the pine forest with beautiful views....you can walk into town apparently but you'd need to take supplies as it would be an all day hike.

There is a hill near the Hotel where you can watch the sunset and where they hold the open air festival.

We rarely go anywhere twice, but we are even consdiering going again next year as we know what we are getting - excellent food, helpful, friendly staff and (generally!) sun every day. The marina shops are better than last year as this is now the second year of opening and they are stocking unusual gifts.. The shop WOW & the clothes shop are well worth a visit.
