Myself and my friends went to Stalis this summer - it was fantastic... The apartments were lovely - nice and big with air conditioning and either a balcony or terrace. The location of the Ielena apartments is ideal because in the day your away from any noise there might be but no more than a 5 minute walk away from the centre if you want to venture out onto Beach road. You will find bars, pubs restaurants and tavernas's I would reccommend Restaurant Creta which sports a Greek night on Sundays, you can experience a real Greek evening, with the whole shee-bang!! In Stalis your between Hersonosis and Malia, I wasn't to keen on Malia because it is full of teenagers. Hersonosis is nice but rather expensive (15 euor for 4 drinks). It's busy enough and has 2 night clubs with a selection of bars and restaurants. We enjoyed it so much we have booked to go back again in the summer...
