Chania, Cretan Dream Royal

The hotel was very good. The receptionists were friendly and very helpful. Restaurant staff were efficient but maybe could have interacted a bit more with guests. The food was very good and breakfast and evening meal could be had outside by the pool. The main hotel was clean and tastefully decorated. The hotel was on the outskirts of Agia Marina with few restaurants open at the end of October [perhaps not surprising] and we had a feeling of isolation. However Platanias and Chania were only a short bus ride away.

It has to be said though that the annexe looked tired and needed maintenance and although we booked a side sea view it was in the annexe and due to the building of the sister hotel Cretan Dream Suites even a side sea view was non existent for the majority of the rooms there. I think the hotel needs to change the affected rooms description to stop guests thinking they are getting a limited sea view when none is possible
