Sinarades, Golden View Hotel

I arrived at this hotel on Monday 13th October 2008, I left this hotel on Tuesday 14th October 2008. The pool area was pool. The bath was covered in mould, the whole place was shabby. The food was for old people with no teeth, so everything was soft sloppy food, nothing fresh, or chewable. You are in the middle of nowhere halfway down a mountain which had great views but no where to go to get away from the horrible atmosphere of the place. There is not enough seating for the amount of people there, so no where to sit in the evening,queues for drinks were very long with only 2 bars taff on to serve everyone. The entertainment was a joke. The staff were very unhelpful rude and arrogant. Ignoring any complaints, telling you to come back but not doing anything when you did. One day in there felt like a year. I do not advise anyone to stay here.

I spent a fortnight in this hotel in September, it was my first foreign holiday in fifteen years and I was attempting to have a good thirtieth birthday, having saved for this holiday for months. Oh dear, what a disappointment. If only there'd been a few more honest reviews on the internet when I booked. I remember watching "My Family and Other Animals" as a child and always wanted to visit Corfu, I wish I'd stuck with my childhood preconceptions, some locals don't seem to care much about the place and I saw litter flung from cars with careless abandon. It's a beautiful island but it just feels run down and neglected. The view from the hotel was great but it was spoiled by the stench from the sewage works.

This experience in general and this hotel in particular has removed any desire from me to go on holiday to Corfu again. Next year I'll spend the money on something that I can guarantee I'll enjoy...

Excellent hospitality !!The hotel provides different types of relaxing moments :-free transportation(1 minute),to hotel private beach;which is surrounded by golden sands&natural rocks &calm atmosphere.-we were [me and my wife],in non-stop eating and drinking delicious greek foods,of 3 types of meat,in breakfast/lunch/dinner,and other types of tasty salads/natural juices/also professional alcoholic cocktails.-hotel beds/rooms,are quite large,with continuous cleaning-also the hotel provides pure natural olive oil soaps in bathrooms.-daily children/fitness programs,and daily night entertainments around hotel pools [2 pools]-also daily sanitation for swimming pools;to protect children / adults.-small shop in the hotel,to provide all necessities for women,also local souvenirs....letters ready to be posted,quickly to our families in Poland.-The hotel is located in upper hill but all life elements are available. *maximum what we needed ,me and my wife,is only TOTAL rest moments.....and we GOT it,in this hotel,during our TWO visits in july/september 2008 [total 22 day] * *in fact Greek hospitality,still more different.

Views fantastic. Food good. Animation team tried hard and we found them entertaining. Pools never overcrowded and always easy to get a sunbed. Staff very helpful. Very steep down to beach - you needed to be fit!!! Free transport to beach easily available. Golden View Hotel was a bit out of the way and you would have to hire a car or taxi if wishing to explore further afield. Wasps a problem as visited in the height of summer. Overall, very enjoyable relaxing week which is what we wanted. Would have probably got bored if there for 2 weeks.
