Arrived And Had Probs Booking In At San George Apa

Arrived and had probs booking in at san george apartments. Would not recommend using Low Cost Holidays. We had booked for 1 bed apartment and when we arrived was told that there was no rooms available and they had not confirmed booking with the agent. The agent should have contatced us and offered alternative accomodation. we were lucky enough to be put in a studio and would have to wait until the morning to see if we could stay or not. This put a dampener on the arrival as we were only staying for 6 days. the people who manage the hotel are lovely and friendly, however I think they were stretched to capacity when we were there. The room was cleaned only once during our stay, and we only had clean towels during this clean. The bins were only emptied once, so we resorted to doing it ourselves (the apartment gets quite smelly when the bins have not been emptied!!!). The rooms were lovely and spacious despite being a studio and having 2 children. We never complained to Emma & Achilles as they looked permanently exhausted as well as looking after the baby. The hotel is situated in by far the best place in Sidari as it is well out of the way of the main busy streets. As long as you don't mind walking 10 mins to the town - there are restaurants within 5 mins walk of the hotel. I can recommend The Family, we went there twice in a week! The only disadvantage of the restauarants is that they all cater for the so called Britsih palate, and serve everything with chips - that includes vine leaves as a starter with a 6 chip garnish!!! the waiters do look at you blankly if you say you don't want chips!!!

Sidari centre is abit like Blackpool in the sun, and is quite run down. if you are looking for a traditional Greek holiday - do not go here!

Overall, we had a lovely chilled out holiday. As the hotel is quite small, all guests mixed together and made a lovely atmosphere. The pool is lovely, and there are plenty of sun beds and parasols for all. The bar is fairly cheap for drinks, as are most restaurants, but not in comaprison to pre-Euro. On avaerage we paid around 40Euros a night for 4 meals and wine.

Would recommend this to anybody who wanted a quiet famliy holiday, with the option of being able to see some lively night life if you choose to.

Staff Were Friendly And Could Not Do Enough For Us

Staff were friendly and could not do enough for us. They made all the children on site more than welcome. The pool was well kept and very welcoming. Greek nights are a must!!! Every one was persuaded to get involved. Amazing fire-dancing and traditional Greek hospitality.Ideal location, not too close to the throbbing nightlife but within walking distance.

My Partner And I And Our 2 Sons Aged 9 And 10 Stay

My partner and I and our 2 sons aged 9 and 10 stayed at the San George apartments in September 2004 and we hated it. I would not recommend it to any one. The staff were unfriendly.

The cleaner left the doors and windows open after they had been in to clean the apartment. anyone could have walked in and stolen our property. This happened 3 times and when we complained to the manager they didn't want to know. Neither did our holiday rep.

Every one we spoke to on that so called holiday couldn't wait to go home.

I disagree with this review because...I stopped here with my family in August 2008 and had an amazing holiday as did most of the other holidaymakers on the site that fortnight. The staff were brilliant and tended to all our needs. We booked to go again in August 2009 but unfortunately Kosmar are no longer trading and therefore we havent been able to keep this holiday. As soon as this hotel is back in the brochures we will definately rebook.

I Would Not Recommend This Accommodation To Anyone

I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone. Sidari itself is nice, with a lovely safe beach for children, but we have never been to accommodation before where the staff were so unhelpful and quality of accommodation was so poor. Kosmar were not helpful and we will not travel with them again. The staff threatened us with police action when our young daughter accidentally wet her bed, as we refused to pay instantly for a new mattress (which was not damaged). They were confrontational in public in front of our daughter which very much upset her. Our 1 year old son was forced to sleep on a mattress on the floor the first night (although he was still in a cot) becuase the staff refused to let us have a cot until we had paid the rep, who was not due at the resort until the next day. The self catering facilities were poor and one of the beds was broken. We had to ask for a lock to be put on the door to the balcony, as when we arrived it could be opened from the outside. Bedding and towels were rarely changed. The TV did not work, and when we asked for it to be repaired nothing was done.

Perfect Location For A Peaceful Holiday If You Onl

Perfect location for a peaceful holiday if you only want to stay by the pool because it's a fair walk to the main town area. Sometimes the street lights near the hotel did not work, which made it worrying as there are no pavements and it's pitch black.

San George Apartments are spacious and cleaned daily but only one change of towels and the bedding is not changed all week. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Beach was very nice with all the water sports available.

Food: roof garden served very nice meals, all tastes catered for. Greek family restaurant, good food. Three little pigs were not as good as in some reviews.

Resort was very good, would go there again.

We Are Going Back To The San George Apartments In

We are going back to the San George Apartments in Sidari in October for 1 week. Can't wait! They make you feel so welcome, and the place is only as loud as you want to make it. Be prepared for a dip, as one of the owners loves to throw you into the pool. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did. My children are 14, 16 and 17, and they were never bored. It was really safe for them too.
