Potamos Apartments

As you can see previously we have had great times at Potamos apartments this would have been our 8th year but this year a relative of ours went, when they got there the pool was dirty, bar area closed and grass long (the owner vasilys charging 250 euro for 1 wk for this)they tried to contact him but no answer by second day they asked his sister what was happening and she said 'closed all summer' so they moved to other apartments where they paid less for more.they eventually got him to answer phone and he started shouting abuse at them saying he opened bar and pool when he wanted and wants full 250 euro now..(when we spoke to him the week before he didnt say anything about being closed because he knew we wouldnt pay that amount of money for just a studio) He has since been texting us saying he wants money and that he dosent care if we dont go back because he has had plenty of money out of us all over the last 7 years. He is a very rude man he makes out he cares but dosent he has said this in texts which i have kept (i also have photo of dirty pool). There has been alot of families like us who have been going for along time they will also feel hurt by his comments, it is very sad we all use to meet up at Potamos every year because we meet good friends there, but no problem we will all meet at other better apartments and spend our hard earned money with hopefully somebody decent.

I have been going to Sidari for the last 5 years

I have stayed at the Potamos 3 times (and there will be 4 of us going again in June). We have a great time, the owners Chrisa and Vassilys, Chrisa and brother Costa (who runs the bar-mad) and all other staff are the friendliest and most helpful you could wish to meet. They also enjoy a good laugh. The apartments are out of the town on the road to Roda, opposite there is a small road that leads to the beach and the many restaurants and bars, about 10 minute walk to town. This saves you having a 25 minute walk on the main road. Taxis are about 5 euros. They are Very good with children. My son who is 9, my niece who is nearly 17 and her friends love it here. Please try Blue Horizon on the Roda road (turn right when you come out of apartments it is on the right just past supermarket) lovely family run restaurant very cheap fresh food.
