Not The Best

This is our second holiday to Sidari. My wife wanted to stay at Mimosa due to the appearance of the outside of it, looking very picturesque, especially at night with the bridge going over the pool illuminated (we remembered it from last year (2010).

The complex is massive, but we especially requested the "new" block at the back, as the front block would be very noisy since it was about 50 yards from a bar which closes at 4am - This was later proven to be a good choice, due to a few people having to move rooms because of noise levels.

Our room was spacious with a fair size of balcony. Room was basic, which is normal for any hotel in Greece, decor was a bit poor and there was no fridge, although we did hire a plug in the wall coolbox from reception for about €25 + €10 refundable deposit and it was good for keeping water in, though very noisy. The cleaner was in every single day to change bed sheets and put in new towels. She was a lovely person, and very trustworthy, so don't worry about leaving valuables around - If you do want to store valuables, there is a safe available for €10 per week (€5 deposit).

We didn't eat in the hotel once, and weren't planning to anyway as we feel part of the holiday experience is dining out and it wasn't much more expensive than self-catering. From others, we heard the food wasn't all that great and not much selection (compared to most places doing a full meal such as huge mixed grill or T-bone steak meal for €5.90).

There are two pool in the hotel, one at the front and one at the rear. We used the one at the front more as it was quieter and you could people watch. There is a bar area also. The older man who works there is very pleasant indeed and there's a younger lady who never smiles, is very unhelpful and constantly patrols the area for people bringing in juice & water from outside. We called her the water police. It's very hard to get served at the bar as there isn't usually anyone around. €3 for a pint of lager, but the friendly pub across the road does exactly the same pint for €2. The hotel bar staff make it obvious when they see you going in to the other bar, and don't like it.

I definitely wouldn't stay here again, but if you can put up with the above, maybe it's for you.

Sidari Was A Brilliant Holiday, Can't Fault Locati

Sidari was a brilliant holiday, can't fault location of hotel but the condition of the rooms was really bad, needs refurbishment urgently - would go back to Sidari but wont ever stay at Mimosa Hotel again.

This Hotel Worst Ever Stayed In. We Were Give Room

This hotel worst ever stayed in. We were give room 215 on arrival not even big enough for a single person let alone a couple. Staff very unfriendly. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone - playing bingo while you were still eating - no choice of menu - august 2008

This Is The Third Time I Have Stayed At The Mimosa

This is the third time I have stayed at the Mimosa Hotel and I love the place so much that I am going back in October. I originally went to the mimosa with my parents and sister but went back this year with my friend and we had a fantastic time. The food is good, the room was always clean and every single member of staff was superb. I know why people go back year after year. I have seen several staff leave to work elsewhere but no matter who is there, they as a friendly as the previous years.

The Mimosa Hotel In Sidari Has Everything For The

The Mimosa Hotel in Sidari has everything for the young to the really old. We meet up with people that have gone year after year from 80 year olds to 5 year olds. It's such a friendly place, and I have never heard any complaints. We always book for the following year as soon as we come back.
