Philoxenia Studios Paleokastritsa

I would go to the Philoxenia Studios again, but only to spend a week around the pool and go to the amazing Spiros taverna every night.

I would also take my own bath towel so I could use both over the week instead of using one dirty one all the time.

Not a very good review? well I am not particularly old so you could argue that I don't know enough but all my family agreed with the points I have made, also you've got a review from a teenage point of view!

Oasis taverna across the road is very lively and the owner has excellent customer service skills which was nice. They also own the Acapulco bar further up the road which is well worth a visit. You can sometimes feel that you're nowhere near the sea but Acapulco set amongst lovely vine groves and flower displays overlooks the most stunning bay.

Paleokastritsa is beautiful but unfortunately very expensive. Don't get a taxi unless you are prepared to get a second mortgage! The views from the monastery are great but if you want to get the best view go to the Bella Vista in Lakones above Paleo. You can see all the way to Corfu Town.

Visited the Philoxenia Studios in June 2005 for 2 weeks and had one of the most peaceful holidays ever. It was great to get up and climb down 30 steps to a beautiful clean pool and chill out all day. Noufri is not the greatest English speaker but makes up for it in typical Greek "no problem" style. The Kosmar Rep was very approachable and the other guests completed our excellent stay. Can't wait to go back!!!

Enjoyed a superb holiday in Paleo as they call it. Stayed at Philoxenia Studios, very clean and friendly. The pool is amazing. The bar is called the Mermaid. The staff are friendly, the food was great, the Mythos cool and very enjoyable. The Kosmar Rep, Rachael was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and she is very knowledgeable about the island and can give you lots of information about other resorts and some special hideaway places. Everyone should go to Paleo!
