Myself, My Sister, Her Boyfriend And My Boyfriend
Myself, my sister, her boyfriend and my boyfriend went to the Katerina Studio Apartments in Kavos in August 2006. It wasn't too far into Kavos, so it wasn't too bad! The food from the restaurant next door to the Katerina Apartments was amazing, and they were really friendly and helped us get our taxis to Kavos! The nightlife was amazing too! However, the Katerina Apartments were not good at all! The owners weren't nice at all! It is the worst place we have stayed at! The maids always walked in when I was getting changed, and they didn't apologise! When we went to the bar to get a drink they were never there! We had 2 towels and 2 sheets for 1 week between us! When we asked to get new sheets and towels, we had to pay 20 Euros! It was a total nightmare, and one week was enough for us!

St. Peters Is A Quieter Area Away From The Main Ka
St. Peters is a quieter area away from the main Kavos strip. The pool area at the Katerina Studio Apartments was fairly nice, with a decent pool and free sun loungers. However, the Katerina does not provide safety deposit boxes however. There is no reception area either, so the place is not secure. It is a 10 minute walk into Kavos along an unlit road with no path, so traffic whizzes by, and you need to stick right in at the side of the road if you don't want to get hit.
Our apartment was broken into on our first night. Money, passports, mobile phones, and even clothes were stolen from the room. The rep was absolutely useless, as were the police and the hotel owner. We didn't get moved from our apartments after this, and we had to spend the rest of our holiday stuck in an unsafe room with no money and no passport to get home. My parents had to send money over so we could eat and pay for emergency passports to get us back out of the country. All in all, this was a holiday from hell!!
I had no interest in seeing what Kavos had to offer after the first night, although from what I did see, the place was littered with bottles, food wrappers, toilet rolls, condom wrappers and young rowdy teenagers trying to pick fights with other groups of holiday makers. My boyfriend and I are only 23 ourselves, and never have we been to such a horrible place. Watch out for pickpockets too, as they are rife in the streets.
