We Looked Around A Few Hotels In Kavos With Some O

We looked around a few hotels in Kavos with some of the reps, and the Plaza Apartments was definitely the best. It was the cleanest and least rowdy. The bar staff were very friendly. The owner) could be a bit pushy but she was nice other than that.

The rooms were very basic, but it is party central and not a lot of time was spent there so the amenities were sufficient.

Mosquitos were a problem but soon died with some spray.

The shower curtain was useless which resulted in the bathroom flooding every time you used the shower, but this was pretty much the only problem we found.

The food was lovely, the drinks were cheap.

Fair distance from the clubs, far enough away for some peace but close enough to walk there every day with no problems.

All in all a brilliant holiday.

This Hotel Is A Poorly Advertised As A 2 Star Quie

This hotel is a poorly advertised as a 2 star quiet retreat from the action of Kavos main strip, however all the rooms are adjacent to the hotel bar and the DJ played music to 4 in the morning and started again at 9am. So if you want to get your head down, you cannot sleep with the patio doors open and you cannot sleep with them closed as it's too hot.

The accommodation itself was basic and the bathroom had a shower like a watering can with a cheap shower curtain.

The staff treats you like kids on first holiday, and were keen to ensure we stayed in the hotel to drink and eat.

We actually moved hotel during our stay, but you will find that every hotel is the same and watch out for the water pressure as you will shower in boiling hot water.

After a 2.5 hour coach transfer from the airport - (if you are travel sick I suggest strong tablets, as the whole trip is via windy roads and the roads are not built for a coach!),

We arrived the first week in October, and the resort was shutting down, that is to say all the nightclubs were already shut. We heard from many travellers that they were told that Kavos is still lively - this isn't the case and I am not sure when they closed but probably mid September.

Beware of thousands of annoying wasps during the day regardless of where you are and mosquitoes during the night - they will stop you relaxing during your stay. The resort is very dirty which might explain this.

If you fancy doing some excursions I suggest you shop around on the strip as holiday reps will sting you! The Aqualand being charged by our rep was 45 Euros each and we found it for 30 Euros each. A trip to Corfu via the Green buses was 3.80 Euros return each and the reps charging 19.90 Each!

If you like pie and chips etc you will be happy as this is the main food cuisine. Oh and theres a Mac D and KFC (but they were closed when we were there).

Don't have a curry as I thought it was the worst ever.

If you fancy an endurance test and not a holiday to have fun and chill this might be for you. By the way don't forget to pack toilet paper!
