What Can I Say, Kavos Defiantly Had To Be The Best
What can I say, Kavos defiantly had to be the best holiday EVER. we all loved it so much were already booking are tickets for next year.
Great value for money - 5 euros = 3 pints of whatever you want, 7 shots and if you are in a big group 2 fishbowls. In Newcastle you cant even buy one drink for 3 pounds
I honestly cannot tell you how good it was, trust me we all had the best time of our lives

I Had Such A Good Time That I'm Going Back Next Ye
I had such a good time that I'm going back next year. The bars don't close till early hours of the morning (I've seen me and my hubby coming back while others are just on their way out). Even if you're not a party animal you can still have a great time here! It's close to everything and there's good food and bars available.

I Was Really Worried Before We Went As A 40ish Mot
I was really worried before we went as a 40ish mother and her 2 teenage girls going to this resort especially after reading such dreadful reviews about everything. The Alefki Apartments (Kosmar) are really nice. Yes, basic but not that basic. They were plenty large enough for the three of us and we took enough luggage for a year! The apartment was cleaned every day and the towels and sheets were changed once a week and we were there for 2 weeks. The whole apartment was very clean and I went prepared to exterminate ALL bugs but hardly encountered any except the usual "mossies". The guy behind the bar is extremely helpful and did everything possible to make us feel comfortable to the point of rounding us up deckchairs together on our first day to extending our time in the apartment on last day/night due to a grim pick up time (3.25am!). How helpful was that? The man is a complete and utter star!
The food available at the bar is extremely good, cheap in price and very well prepared and nicely presented. Everybody we encountered there were great people and we loved our stay there, as the beach is literally 5 minutes away and not that bad. The night life is obviously extremely "out there" but is fantastic for the 18 -30 category, which we were not but hey! In Kavos anything goes and everyone, locals and tourists were all great and friendly. We are going back next August and going to stay at the Alefki Apartments again and going with Kosmar. We will see any August 2007 returners next year!

Overall The Accommodation Was Nice And People Were
Overall the accommodation was nice and people were friendly. The pool area was big, the food was great, and the area was brill... only one problem, on the day back we had an earthquake which was scary as hell. Don't wanna experience that again EVER!!
Thanks for a positive review on these apartments!!! We are going there on 10th August but warning to all i am shock, horror... 43 years old !!!! Kavos will probably kill me but I am prepared to take the risk all in the name of FUN for my 2 teenage daughters who I am taking so I hope all the extremely youthful lads and lasses look after us.
I Am Gutted That I Couldn't Put A Rating Of -100.
I am gutted that I couldn't put a rating of -100. We got to the Alefki Apartments in Kavos and the bathroom was filthy!! The sheets on the bed were dirty and rooms were swarming with insects!! Then heat like you have never felt as you stepped into the sweat box!!
The shower didn't work properly and it was that dirty you were forced to wear flip-flops around the apartment, and even in the shower!! As your handheld shower dripped out, the bathroom would flood with dirty water from some random hole which the water came back up through. The towels consisted of 1 hand towel with a random Greek names on them, so I think these may have been picked up from around the pool area.
Every other day the cleaners would proceed to wake you by hammering at the door shrieking at you in Greek. Then one morning I was awoken by my friend asking me to help her as the cleaner had been screaming abuse in her face for over half an hour. She was waving a plastic chair round and trying to take money from us. She was trying to accuse us of steeling some naff plastic chair and take 10 Euros from us for doing so. After a tirade of abuse, she proceeded to find the chair on a neighbour's balcony and calmly put it back on ours without so much as an apology. Needless to say, no cleaning was done that day!! Our Reps answer to this was 'these Greeks love money more than life itself'! Helpful wasn't he?
We were also accused of stealing cups and the hand towels we had been provided with. They took our hand towels mid-week, and they were never to be seen again.
The cleaning was basically non- existent. I believe they just came in to annoy us off then left. There were still crisps and rubbish under the bed from the last residents!
The nail in the coffin was on our last day. We were charged 30 Euros to keep our room until 7pm, as our transfer was not until 10.30pm. We didn't have a choice as there was no reception, and all communication was done through the pool bar.
We were woken at 10am having had 1 hour sleep, and we were told we needed to vacate immediately!! We were being evicted to our friend's room over the other side of the complex, regardless of the fact we had paid to keep our larger room on. They stood while we packed our things, half of which we had to leave as they kept shouting at us to hurry up! So there we are, 7 people in a 2 person room at 6.50pm., and 5 staff members arrive in force to evict us from yet another room! I was trying to shower but they refused to leave. As I was frantically trying to change in the corner while my friends fought them off, one of the staff stuck his head around the corner, despite my friends telling them I was undressed! He then went back to his other male friend and started laughing!! I wasn't amused. In the end we left the apartment half naked and were forced to finish our packing and dressing in the street! Real nice bunch between the cleaners and owners!!
So the upside was we had nice neighbours, and it's close to the strip. The downside was basically everything else!!

The Rooms At The Alefki Apartments And Studios In
The rooms at the Alefki Apartments and Studios in Kavos are clean. You can pay for air conditioning and safety deposit boxes (5 Euros for aw hole week), and they are definitely worth it! It is close to the strip with bars etc. And it is close enough to feel safe walking back, but it is not too noisy. It is a couple of minutes from the beach, and there is a lovely pool area with a bar and affordable food. The people who run the pool bar are lovely, and their BBQ night and pub crawls are great fun - well worth it! IF I was to go back to Kavos I'd definitely stay there again! It is a great place for anyone who enjoys nightlife and a friendly atmosphere.
Hey, I understand that there are two different Alefki apartments, one orangey yellow without a pool. Did you see these? If so, are they any good as all the reviews are awful and I've just booked, help?

A Very Good Place To Stay If Visiting Kavos. Situ
A very good place to stay if visiting Kavos. Situated on one end of the strip, it gives good access to nightlife and restaurants/bars.
Very nice pool area with a huge pool, and plenty of space to sit around to catch the rays. Grassed areas around too. As well as a vollyball court and hammock.
The bar staff are very friendly and fun! Good food and drinks can be purchased all day.
