Zeus Studios

Just returned from Zeus Studios Ipsos in Corfu. The apartment was basic but adequate as we had expected because lets face it you don't go on holiday to stay in a small room. But I do have the following issues with the resort.

1 In the bathroom there was no extractor fan, there was a pull cord switch for one. But when pulled it fell off the wall and whacked me on the head- result 30 mins into our holiday I have blood gushing from a head wound! When asked about it the next morning I was told the switch it seems just covers a hole in the wall! Where I was told to leave it presumably so it can injure the next guest.

2 We arrived in the early hours and were very tired but still didn't get much sleep. Any one who stays at the front of this resort will not get much sleep. The road at the entrance to the apartments is a test track for scooters and quad bikes till 4 am EVERY NIGHT. Asked to be moved to the back, answer no as they were allegedly full.

3 We have a young son who loves playing in the pool. The pool here looks good but, well here's my experience. When we first went in and went under water visibility was very poor perhaps 3 feet. This concerned me so i checked the water inlets/jets- nothing they weren't on. I queried this and was told they were! So I left it at that until later the same day I watched as pigeons landed by the pool and proceeded to drink from it. This was followed by a cat from a neighbouring property coming in for a drink. Now my understanding of pools is that there are chemicals in the water and pumps to pass water through the filters to keep the thing clean. That was clearly not happening here. Later in the week we saw insects swimming around in the water.After a complaint one of the other guests told me how late one night he had seen one of the staff sprinkling what he described as crystals into the pool. Apparently the next day peoples costumes were turning green!

By that time we had given up we found a clean pool nearby which always had its pumps on and you could see from one end to the other!

Advice- don't stay there. Reason- dirty pool noisy location.
