Villa Sofia Ipsos

A good clean quiet villa ideal for a peaceful week away, but near enough to the local town.

Villa Sofia apartments are very clean and comfortable with own pool, which is open to everyone and it is children friendly.

Me and my boyfriend (19 and 21) were looking for ages for the perfect holiday to go on together this summer (2007). After reading reviews about Villa Sofia Ipsos, we thought it looked great. We have just got back and I can assure you; it was excellent! As there are only 6 apartments there is no shortage of sunbeds and the pool is quiet, relaxing and just the perfect size. The staff are such lovely people and will do anything to make sure you enjoy your stay, she even brought me her iron from home to use for the two weeks we were there! The main strip of Ipsos is about 7-8 min walk away so you are near enough to walk but far enough away to not hear any noise!

A good idea would be to get some form of transport, for 3 of the days, we hired a moped (just 10 euros a day) and travelled up the coast to Kassiopi via Barbati and Ag. Stefanos. Also Dassia is just down the road and there are a lot more restaurants down there than on the strip; great restaurants in Ipsos I would recommend are Moby Dick, Bonitas and the Peking Restaurant (great Chinese food in an amazing building with a great view of the sea!)

We also made good friends with people in other apartments and there was a BBQ on our last night.

The excursions are brilliant, but believe me; do not book these with Kosmar as you can get much cheaper ones just on the strip at the excursion shops. The boat BBQ is ace!

Although Ipsos is stated as a place for the young and lively by Kosmar, I would say it is perfect for any age; the bars and clubs are there if you want, many restaurants and more towns at your fingertips with more restaurants and entertainment! Also the scenery is fantastic!

I really would recommend Villa Sofia to anyone looking to have an enjoyable and fantastic holiday!

The open to the public pool bar is quiet than most and you do not need to put your towels out etc.

In the afternoon you are visited by a few lads and lassies who work at the local bars/clubs. They need somewhere to catch up with each other and chill out before work. It speaks volumes that they choose here rather than anywhere else.
