Paradise In The Day But Hell At Night

We stayed on the edge by the tennis courts and as I write this review I am on my bed listening to a crowd of about 40 drunken teenagers who I observed earlier trickling in to the sports area armed with booze.

This area is lonely and unmonitored at night and away from the main evening entertainment area's and hence atractive to gangs probably from outside. Once the alcohol kicks in the noise is frankly unbelievable and it goes on for hours. If like myself you have a train of plane to catch in the morning then be prepared for a sleepless night as by the time that they disperse you will be so angry and full of adrenalin that your eyes will be as big as an owls. I intend to persue the holiday company for an explanation and compensation for a ruined holiday.

If I get the " wasn't me guv" from them then that will not wash as it is a matirial fact that should have been disclosed before accepting my reservation.

It is obviously a planning and design error that ought to have been forseen. I saw straight away that this was an incident "waiting to happen" !!. It has been happening every night I have been here but the worst night was tonight "Friday"

Not Interested In Campers Any More. The Balcony Ba

Not interested in campers any more. The balcony bar brings in locals until early hours. I tried to speak to the manager but she was not interested. Unless you want music for much of the time, dont go.

The beach is very gritty and now over crowded, pity to sound down about this site because we had many happy holidays here. Pity it changed

Praries De La Mare Is A Wonderful Site Very Family

Praries de la mare is a wonderful site very family friendly.

The beach is next to the site . shallow water suitable for the kids.

The port is a very prettyplace with lots of bars &cafe's.

A trip up into the village of grimaud is not to be missed, the kids will love the little train that takes you there , magnificent views of port grimaud and st tropaz can be seen from the castle ruins.

A trip to st tropaz is a must at night go with paradise cruises. The rich and famous have their boats moored in st tropaz , and everywhere smells of money, how the other half live.

My family and i have been to port grimaud 10 times and will continue to go whenever we can.

We love it

We Stayed At Les Prairies De La Mar With Homair An

We stayed at Les Prairies De La Mar with Homair and were very dissapointed with the quality of the mobile home, the quality of the pitch, and the responsiveness of Homair. We'd stayed with them before and elsewhere and so did not expect such a poor quality experience. The location itself is great. We did a fly/drive into Nice, made easy connections, liked the site and its facilities, got to know the area, had great weather and really enjoyed out time... with as little attention as possible paid to the nagging part of our minds which was dissatisfied with the mobile/pitch and some of the aspects of the site.Port Grimaud is faux charming and feels as authentic as you would expect from a created rather than real village. The one thing which would stop me from going again, apart from not using Homair, was the cramped and crowded beach... So we might well go again!

Clean And Safe Beach A Little Crowded In The Summe

Clean and safe beach a little crowded in the summer as it is also a public beach.

Entertainment is good, bars well run and most facilities are available. The real bonus is that it is ony a 4 minute walk to Port Grimaud. Check this place out and you weill see what I mean. A place for a lively holiday and good for families as well.

On the whole, Les Prairies De La Mar is a well run site with good general facilities, entertainment and a clean beach on site. Depending on which holiday operators you vacation with value for money varies greatly, you need to shop around to get the best and cleanest accommodation.

We've Been Returning To Port Grimaud Les Prairies

We've been returning to Port Grimaud Les Prairies De La Mar for a decade and most of the people we meet up with have been going for more than a decade. We all find it difficult to go elsewhere even though we often think about having a change. We often go twice a year and shall be back in 2009. Good points are weather, location. amenities, cleanliness, safety. Really can't think of any bad points.

Our Stay At Port Grimaud Was A Very Enjoyable One.

Our stay at Port Grimaud was a very enjoyable one. I went with my parents and my younger brother, and we travelled with Club Cantabrica. The weather was pleasing throughout our two week stay, and we found the campsite to be very clean and organised. The toilets were an Egyption theme, which stood out from any other holiday site we've ever stayed in before. Most the staff are friendly and helpful, although we had problems with getting the internet to work from our caravan, because we were surrounded by trees, and when we asked for a refund, some of the staff hesitated slightly.

We found the site to be quiet and peaceful, and were made to feel at home. The food was nice and the beach was very near which was very handy. Overall, we all enjoyed our two week holiday and were sad to leave. We will be looking forward to going back again this year, and I recommend this holiday destination for families and couples.

We Had A Lovely Two Week Holiday Here In August/se

We had a lovely two week holiday here in August/September. When we arrived we were given a pitch very close to the reception and nightclub which is open until 3am and can be heard very clearly. We had three very bad nights sleep, but when we asked to move the staff were very resonable and understanding and we had a great holiday from there on in. If you decide to stay here it's definitely worth asking for a quiet emplacement. Otherwise very nice, but busy even in September. The beach in particular can be very crowded but there are several beautiful beaches in the area. There is also and almost all English area on the site with club and English run english breakfast cafe - if this isn't your thing though it's easily avoided. There is an excellent french restaurant on the beach - would highly recommend it!

The Les Prairies De La Mer Campsite Has It All For

The Les Prairies De La Mer campsite has it all for the value seeking holiday maker such as myself. Numerous travel companies use this site for those who wish to travel by coach, or those like myself who prefer to drive myself.

The campsite is very cosmopolitan, and has a very wide range of static luxury caravans, tents, and also caters for the travelling camper.

The site is adjacent to the port of Grimuald (Frances Venice - in a small way). The town itself offers great restaurants, small local shopping, nice friendly bars, and has a great market square to play Boulles with the locals.

It also has a market day each week selling wonderful French produce.

From the campsite you can walk onto the beautiful sandy beach and sit at the beach bar that is actually on the beach, (great to sit, drink and pass the day away).

Locally you can reach St Tropez by foot and back in the day, but don't expect too much from this iconic place of worship for the rich and famous. I have been there over twenty times and very seldom see anyone famous. If the high life is what your looking for take a day trip to Monaco, here you will see the rich and famous, be amazed by the casino square, walk (about 40 minutes) the F1 race circuit route, and visit the palace, and you will never want to leave.

Another great place to visit is St Raphael where the night life is great with an open air market that stretches the whole of the sea front every night.

If it's a fright you want then take a trip up into the Gorge de Vernon, where the views are breathtaking, and the mountain road is as scary as any roller coaster you have ever been on, and when you get to the bottom of this gorge you will find the most enchanting lake of turquoise blue you have ever seen.

There are also many places for the family to visit such as Sea World at Antribes (Killer Whales), Aquatica at St Raphael (water world), and the Zoo at St Raphael, which is as natural and rustic as any zoo I have visited.

All in All this holiday has only one drawer back, and that is the 9 hours drive down and back to the South of France, but well worth it in the end.

I found this review very helpful because... it was very informative, it is always good to know what the local attractions are and how easily accessible they are.
