We Have Just Returned From A Three Day Stay At Dis
We have just returned from a three day stay at Disneyland and were upgraded to this hotel. From the momeupbernt we stepped into the superb lobby we were all impressed. The hotel is big, and we were some distance from the reception area, but this helped reduce some of the noise level.
We had both the breakfast and evening buffet (make sure you reserve your place, especially for the evening), and - whilst not the most extensive buffet - the food was hot and there was plenty of it. My two young daughters were easily able to find more than enough to satisfy them.
The setting is lovely and it is just a short walk to the parks.
My only negative remarks is that there are no extras in the room - if you want internet, minibar etc you have to pay for the privilege.
Also, if you want tea/coffee on tap you need to take a kettle and supplies as these are not provided.
All in all, I would highly recommend Hotel New York. This family will certainly be back!

Reading All The Previous Reviews Makes Me Think If
Reading all the previous reviews makes me think if all those people went to the same hotel I did, or were they written by the Disney people.
Disneyland Paris is celebrating 15 years and it really shows. It needs major refurbishment in my opinion. New York hotel looks like it was a great hotel once, but in a real world outside the Disneyland it could never keep four stars I don't think.

Disney's, Hotel New York, Paris Is A Really Great
Disney's, Hotel New York, Paris is a really great place to stay and very near the parks. Lovely atmosphere. Lots of chances to have photos with characters. Nice restaurants and great swimming facilities. Loved the ice rink and hotel shop! 10 min walk to parks and right outside Disney Village.

Overall, I Would Recommend This Hotel To Anyone, I
Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone, it was clean, comfortable, centrally located and there always seemed to be a Disney character wandering around the lobby.

The Hotel Was Well Situated For Access To The Park
The hotel was well situated for access to the parks and very easy to reach from the train station.
The hotel theme was very well executed and authentic. It was everything you would expect from a 4 star hotel. The rooms were fabulous and the beds wonderfully comfy, just what was needed after a long day in the parks! Room service was prompt with excellent food, which was always more than enough! Some other reviewers have suggested making picnics from the excess food however there are very clear signs within the parks that picnics are forbidden and bags are searched on entry to the parks. I wasn't brave enough to even try! I would recommend paying the 10 Euros to have breakfast delivered, to save facing the crowds at the buffet!
Our room overlooked the ice rink which was great although having a good view from your room isn't really that important as you don't go to Disney to look out of the window all day!
We didn't even have our mini bar unlocked for our stay, phone for room service or pop to the bar to save a hefty bill!
We tipped as and when we felt it was appropriate and left about 4 Euros per day for the maid, we certainly didn't feel any pressure to tip.
Overall, we loved the hotel and have no issues in recommending it to others. Just be aware that it's not cheap and cannot be done on a budget, throw caution to the wind and allow your credit card to become your new best friend!

On Our Recent Visit To Disneyland Paris, We Chose
On our recent visit to Disneyland Paris, we chose to stay at the Hotel New York!
The outside of the hotel looks like it is from a movie set with the hotel being 8 floors high and made to look like sky scrapers like you would find in New York.
You enter the hotel either from the front as if you are coming from the Disney Village or from the back if you are coming off the buses. Both doors are directly opposite each other and lead into a lovely marble-type floored foyer. On one side you have the Cocktail Bar and on the other side is Reception with a baggage counter. By the front door is the Concierge. Just before you reach the cocktail bar and the reception there is a long corridor which runs right through to both sides of the hotel.
Checking in was easy. We had a voucher and the receptionist happened to be a man who had lived in Edinburgh for a short period and was desperate to know if his favourite bars were still there and did we go to them frequently. He then asked if we wished a smoking or non-smoking room and he took us through, the map and told us times of breakfast and reminded us that the pool and health facilities were closed at the time of our stay. He also gave us other information, before giving us our room key which was a keycard thing and also ordered our cot for the baby to be delivered.
We were on the 7th floor during our stay. We had to head for the lifts and all that was missing was a lift operator. The lifts were very American-movie-type. The doors had posters of movies such as Finding Nemo and Brother Bear on them and this went down a treat with our 4 year old. The lifts were quick and arrived at your floor within a few seconds. There was also music playing but as we were always too busy talking we didn't notice it very much.
Once on the floor you headed right out of the lift and along the corridor. Our room overlooked the back of the hotel where the airport buses and park buses enter the hotel premises. The room had 2 double beds. There was also plenty room at the window for the travel cot which was provided and made up for us just after we arrived. The room was very New Yorkish (I worked there for 3 months so have a rough knowledge of what it is like). There wasn't much room between the beds and the TV unit and drawers.
The bathroom had 2 old-fashioned sinks next to one another and also a bath. The toilet was situated behind the door and was quite far away from the sinks and baths. As any other hotel room, the bathroom is just as you come in the door to the room and had no window. I've got a thing about bathrooms having nice airy windows and I always seem to have to put up without one in a hotel.
The room had the access to room service but personally I felt that it was more fun to go out with the children and eat instead of being cooped up in the room. The prices were very reasonable for Disney Paris and the menu had a wide range of burgers, main courses and light bites like soup.
Maid service was every day and on the 2 mornings which we had maid service the room was spotless and pj's folded up. We did see the maids going about but we never came across them in our room at any point. We left tips of about 5€ each day. Our son was sick all over the sheets one night. We let housekeeping know and the following morning clean sheets were on the bed.
Breakfast is included in the price and usually takes place in the Parkside Diner which is like a typical New York Diner as seen in Friends or any American sitcom. The Diner was clean and tables were spaced at a decent space from one another. Breakfast was a continental breakfast. There was a choice of cereals such as cornflakes, wheetos, rice crispies and museli. There were different types of bread rolls and cakes. In a cooler area you could get cold meats and cheeses as well as fresh fruit salad and yoghurts. You could order a cooked American breakfast if you wanted at an extra cost but we didn't want to. The tables were cleared as soon as someone left. Highchairs were available and staff were plentiful although some didn't speak English and our French is limited so left us with a slight problem. On our last morning we went to find the diner all closed and thought we had missed breakfast. But it turned out that breakfast had been relocated to the other restaurant at the end of the corridor. The Manhattan is a posher restaurant and we felt a bit out of place here compared to the family feel of the diner.
The shop in the hotel which is located in the foyer was stocked with lots of goods which can also be bought in the parks, but also baby food, drinks, snacks, and nappies. We tried to buy wipes as we had forgotten ours and they only had a pack like wet wipes which you would clean your hands with on a picnic. I would advise you just to take your own as they weren't very great and were quite expensive.
The Cocktail Bar was a nice place to go. In the time we were there in January it was very nice to sit in the bar or on some of the seats outside the bar. There was a wide range of cocktails and we tried a few. I did have a few non alcoholic ones too which were nice. Prices were reasonable for a Disney Hotel. The non-alcoholic cocktail was about 7€ which we found reasonable for us. They also provided crisps and nuts and brought your drinks to the table. It was quite hard to get them to understand that Murray suffers a nut allergy and that we would prefer the nuts not to be brought to us. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't put on some bar snacks as sometimes after an early dinner it would have been nice to have had a snack.
Outside the foyer quite often the characters would come along and have fun and games with the children and guests. A few times Chip and Dale the chipmunks pinched Murray and took him for a walk. While we were in Disney Paris, it was Chinese New Year and there were a few displays of Chinese dancing with a dragon taking place. The children enjoyed this too. It was lovely to watch but you had to stand up to watch which made your feet weary. Further along the foyer, there was an area roped off with a Yellow NYE Taxi. At certain times of the day various characters were there and a photographer. You could get your photograph taken and then buy it from the shop. This cost about 18€. We bought 3 big pictures. One with Mickey, one with Minnie and one with Pluto. You could buy just one picture or others with little ones. One of the photo's we actually got framed in the shop in a Mickey Frame which was really nice. It is advisable to wait in the queue but other Europeans could be so rude and you had to watch that they didn't queue jump you. Opposite the cocktail bar up the side is a children's play area. It was pretty basic but a few times we were there staff were doing Chinese themed activities. There was a table with crayons and colouring sheets. A computer, a TV and some soft play shapes. It kept our 2 happy for a short while so was worth it.
We used concierge to book times for restaurants and afternoon tea. We had no problems and they were very friendly and very helpful. I would not hesitate to book at concierge again if we were staying there again.
In the winter directly in front of the hotel is an ice rink. We didn't use it but it is open roughly 3 times a day for about 2 hours at a time and you only have to pay for skate hire.
Overall our experience at the Hotel New York was a very positive one. It isn't the top hotel in Disney Paris but it is expensive and well worth it. We had the hotel included in our package. But if you stay at the hotel, you receive a length of stay pass for the 2 parks included in the price. We would definitely stay here again and try out the restaurants. I've worked out from the website that our stay at the hotel excluding flights was about £500 for us adults. Children go free on selected dates between January and April. So it worked out for us that it was about £84 per night and that included park tickets and breakfast and Eilidh got her park tickets and both children had breakfast. That was for a back view and not a lake side view. So personally I think it was quite cheap considering how much you may pay for a hotel in the UK for a long weekend. I would definitely recommend this for the family elements and all the fun you can have. One thing I noticed was there was not a room 13. Our room was 7217 but the numbers jumped from 11 to 15 on our side of the corridor. Follows the Big Apple in a lot of ways. It makes me wonder had there been a higher floor, would they have had a floor 13?
I found this review very helpful because...it tells you all you need to know
13 is said to be considered unlucky
