Comfort Hotel Lamarck

This 'budget' hotel's exterior concealed a cramped lobby with cheap, plastic chairs.

There was no baggage storage area, minuscule elevator, and dank, gloomy hallways. Ceilings so low we had to stoop in our dim, sour smelling rooms!

In our 'Lilliputian' sized bathroom, a tiny shower stall and a mysterious board secured by wads of paper plugged a huge hole over the toilet!

Despite friendly English speaking front desk receptionists and the fascinating, Montmartre neighborhood, the Comfort Hotel Lamarck contains no comforts!

I stayed in Comfort Hotel Lamarck, which is the centre of Monmartre over the Half term break.

Its staff were always friendly and helpful, the rooms comfortable and tastefully furnished.

They contained an ensuite, telephone, satellite TV.

The breakfast, although buffet was plentiful, with cereal, baguettes, croissants, cheese, fruit salad, yoghurts and boiled eggs, plus the usual beverages.

It is situated just one stop from the Abbesses Metro station for Sacre Coeur and its funicular, and only 5 stops into Opera.

To walk from the Metro to the hotel took about 5 mins with luggage, and so id very convenient. They will also lock your luggage away for you after check out on departure day, so that you can do some more sightseeing if you have a long wait to fly out.

All in all, thoroughly recommended, unlike Charles De Gaulle airport (see my review)
