Our Stay Was Five Days (fri. Morn. To Tues. Midday

Our stay was five days (Fri. morn. to Tues. midday) at Artus Hotel in room. 110 at 230 euro per night.

The Two things that stand out about the ARTUS Hotel is the Manager Sanjeet and its location. The Manager Sanjeet I found to be very helpful, very pleasant, and sincere. He was out the last three days and left us a small hand written "book" explaining his regret for not being there, and included suggestions with maps and contacts for numerous dinner restaurants.

We found all the Desk staff to be very nice, but Sanjeet somehow stands out.

The location is extremely good. Lots of key places to visit in all directions, many in walking distance. A variety of great food, assorted shops, including bread, flowers, Italian ice cream, and much more are at the Rue de Buci market, Just down the block. A genuine Parisian neighbourhood feel, no tourist trinkets, and the like around. Nice people are all we found here, this location makes for a great base to explore the town or just sitting around.

A underground train station is close; we found the Metro trains easy to navigate and the other underground train system a bit more difficult.

The Hotel its self is pretty good overall, without the above mentioned items I would give it a 6 or maybe 7 out of 10. We had a room at the 3rd highest price. A suite with a King size bed, it included in no order, a plasma TV, mini bar/refrigerator., and built in storage for clothing, a chair and stool. The bathroom area was a very modern glass and stainless upgrade from the rest of the room. It had a small vanity area, a sink area on marble, then the mostly enclosed glass shower (a towel for the floor was a must no matter how semi careful one is!) with hand held sprayer and nice oversized "rainfall "shower head. Lastly, behind a frosted sliding glass door is the toilet and micro sink. There is wireless internet in the hotel rooms that start at 60 minutes for 10 euro. if you have a wireless Mac/Pc and free use of an iMac in the lobby area.

Ordered coffee from room service every morning that was fast and good. On the last day we had the free continental breakfast sent up with the coffee. It was made-up of three breads (croissant, sugar topped roll, and plain roll) butter, jellies, Orange juice, plain yogurt. All was rich and good.

There is food service in a lower area from the lobby, but we never investigated it.

The very helpful English speaking staff is a great plus answering questions, making eating reservations/suggestions, and providing highlighted maps. So we could enjoy all our time out and about discovering this beautiful city.

To sum it up we were extremely glad we chose this hotel, given its location and customer service.
