Corsica, San Lucianu

The San Lucianu and its facilities are in urgent need of refurbishment. The food on offer in the restaurant is appalling. This is France and the chef was using tinned ingredients, e.g. carrots, probably shipped in from the UK for convenience. Although the staff teaching sports - sailing, tennis, etc - were excellent, the same were expected to wait and carry out other duties and this just didn't work. These guys were too laid-back to provide good service and I doubt they even know what this entails. At £4500 for a week for a family of four this was very bad value for money. A very poor comparison with the excellent Club Med resorts on which Mark Warner is meant to be modelled.
