Brittany, Dinan, La Tarais Gites

We have holidayed here for the past 8 years. We have stayed in La Tarais cottage, Rosier and Abeille. All lovely and charming in their own way and all well equipped and spotlessly clean and very importantly they have full wifi and satellite channels - an absolute neccessity when you have teenagers. But what makes this place outstanding to us are its fabulous gardens, the fact that we can dine both at the front and back of each gite which means we always get the best of the sun and fortunately we have always been blessed with good weather. Also the pool area is lovely, it is always warm and clean and the sun lounging area is a total suntrap. Also the proprietors have always been very nice, friendly, warm but unobtrusive. The location is about 6 km from Dinan but that adds to the attraction for us and there are some lovely walks to the Rance river and to the nearby town (hamlet) of Calergouen. Would highly recommend.

This will be my 12th year visiting La Tarais, and it's always a wonderful experience. The children love it, Debbie and Bernard are really friendly and helpful, and the location is just perfect for us. Close to fab beaches, great culture and lots of fun messing about on the river!

But we don't need to go anywhere if we feel like chilling, because there's loads to do on site - the pool is our idea of heaven!

I think I already know where we'll be taking our holiday next year... La Tarais!
