Trizas Hotel Apartments

Would never go back to the Trizas Hotel Apartments again, did not get spoken to the whole 2 weeks by the daytime staff apart from English receptionist. Had to pay 140 euros for aircon and 26 euros for safe box. Saw fighting every night after 2am by local boys, had things thrown at windows and local boys running through block, and nothing was done. Never saw the pool cleaned and never saw the pool bar open. Found it very very expensive, would not take teenage boys as this is who the locals seemed to start trouble on. I don't think the rooms are suitable for 4 adults or older children.

The apts would be fine if cleaners didn't please themselves and if the bars finished at maybe midnight. Otherwise I would not recommend for families with young children.

Bbed sheets had very bad stains on day of arrival. Room smelt a bit funky. My girlfriend broke the bed when sitting on it n claims she is only a size 10 ummmmm however the bed was never replaced and had to pay 50 Cypriot pounds for the damage. The food gave me ill. Would not recommend.

The Trizas Hotel Apartments good points are the view. Staff not professional, cleaners not seen! Had to collect clean towels for ourselves.

I would highly recommend a place called Mojitos, which was a lot more modern than all the other bars and restaurants. The staff are very friendly and the food is the best about, we highly recommend visiting this place just near the Anastasia hotel.

Most of the bars are themed in Protaras, you have a friends bar, cheers bar, and a Flintstones bar for example. Although these bars are great fun they are all quite dated and after a while you might get a bit bored of them.

The best traditional restaurant we found is called Anatolia. It is always busy, the staff are great and the food is fantastic.

Don't stay at the Trizas, it's not even cheap!

Protaras is the best place I have ever been. I loved every day I was there and I didn't want to come home. I can strongly recommend the Island Affair restaurant for food. The service is outstanding and the food delicious. For entertainment I would recommend the Love Boat. They have different themes on each night from Robbie Williams, Ronan Keating, Elvis and hypnotists. Ayia Napa is great to visit before 10pm (that's when all the young come out to play haha). Nissi Beach is beautiful. And last of all, the Waterpark is lots of fun for families, friends and couples.

To be honest Trizas Hotel Apartments in Protaras are very dated. We had a dreadful sewage smell in our room, and they would not move us unless we paid out more money, and nothing was done about the disgusting smell. The rooms are a good size in fairness. However, the bedding was stained and very old. You have to pay for the air conditioning £3 CYP/day (about £4.60/day), which I never have with First Choice up until now. Lampshades were missing, and we had just bare bulbs! he bathroom generally, was absolutely disgusting. Most of the people we met there were upset with their rooms too. The First Choice Rep said he had 9 complaints last month about Trizas! We had to buy Dettol to clean our bathroom as it was horrendous. It is noisy in the evenings too, but that's expected if you are looking for central accommodation, I didn't mind it too much. If you don't believe me, ask to have a look in Room 504 if you go. Overall advice - I wouldn't recommend it. I don't mind "roughing it", but this was taking the biscuit! It really put a downer on the whole holiday.

Trizas Hotel was very clean and the room was nice and big. Room was cleaned every other day but bed linen was changed only once in 2 weeks. Hotel staff were friendly yet a little slow with their service especially in the restaurant.

My partner & I stayed at the Trizas Apartments last May & booked up to stay here as part of a holiday package with First Choice. The apartments are right in the heart of Portaras, so it can be a bit noisy, but that's what you should expect when you are in the heart of a resort's bar area.

The room was very spacious & we had a seaview at no extra cost.

All in all we had a great time at the Trizas Hotel. It is very centrally located, clean and spacious apartments but the only minus point is that it is very noisy as the hotel is right in the centre of town amongst bars and restaurants. We visited in October and the weather was still very hot, therefore we still had to keep windows open at night. There was no chance of getting "an early night" as it's far too noisy!
