Protaras, Vrissi Apartments

Good point, The beach. But there are and other beaches in Cyprus very clean and beautiful. I do not recommend taking your holidays there. It is not like the photos in the internet. Very dirty. The bed sheets and the towels did not look clean. The floor was cover with carpet but from the many years of use it was full of dirty spots. The bathroom was not so clean and you can see that it needs to rebuild it and change everything. Because I had kids with me I had to buy chlorine to clean it. There is a wall in the stair outside of the apartments that is broken. When we went to the reception to make our complaints they did not give us the proper attention. And imagine we are Cypruits. What attention are the foreigners getting? We did not ask for a refund or anything we just told them that we want to tell them our complaints so they can get better. Their answer was " we are going to send the housekeeper to check". I am real sorry to say this but the owners need to send in a building contractor to fix your apartments and not the housekeper. We were three couples with our children and no one of us will again.

We went in October 2007 for two weeks the apartments were fine a bit dated but clean. I liked the fact that the floor was carpeted. Beds were comfy. The was no reception but we had full use of the hotel over the way. I NEVER felt unsafe and we had no problems

The apartments are well located in the resort centre, yet there was no real bother with noise. We arrived at the apartment by taxi, the driver and several other locals had never even heard of Vrissi making us slightly apprehensive of what we were to expect. We arrived to find nobody manning the reception area and no indication of where or how we should get our room key i.e. from the hotel next door!

The room was adequately equipped, however it was not up to the standard of cleanliness I have previously been used to in other Cyprus apartments. The rooms were carpeted, which is not ideal for a holiday apartment and furthermore, the carpet was filthy with stains. The bedsheets were clean however, they too were stained with what appeared to be blood on the top sheet!

The pool was small as we had anticipated, as we were to have full use of the facilities at the large hotel next door. However, the pool was not the cleanest and after a 10 minute swim my bikini and my partners shorts became stained a yellowy/green colour due to the amount of chlorine that was used, which was added while we were actually in the pool! Needless to say we did not use the pool again. The staff at Constantinos the Great were extremely helpful regarding this matter and apologised for the inconvenience, changing our stay from self-catering to half board for the remainder of the holiday.

I enjoyed this holiday very much and would go back to Protaras but I would definitely not stay at the Vrissi apartments again, it was nowhere near up to the standard of other Argo holidays and I felt that the price we were paying was simply paying for the fact we had use of the facilities next door.
