Value For Money

Excellent Hotel, Service, Food Etc. I Think It's

Excellent hotel, service, food etc.

I think it's better for active young families, not anyone wanting a relaxing holiday.

I think it was poor value for money. Over £850 per person for one week AI, could find the same quality for a much lower price. Was expecting better for the price, although still pleasant.

Cyprus was lovely though, would definitely return!!!!

Let's Be Fair And Start With The Good Points, If Y

Let's be fair and start with the good points, if you ended up here at the Ledra Beach Paphos on a last minute, discounted, take your chance booking, you would be reasonably happy... at first.

The hotel has a large pool area with loads of comfy loungers, even though you have to be up by 6.00am to get round the pool, which is a must with 2 kids.

You walk off the pool terrace to a small sandy/pebbly beach, with jetties for swimming in the sea and the view looks fantastic.

The hotels family rooms are well equipped and of a good size, TV, tea/coffee, air con, safe, fridge, which is restocked daily and loads of storage. We had a sea view room which gave great views of the sunsets and was quiet.

The room has a carpeted floor which makes a nice change for holiday hotel rooms. We did however arrive to a broken shower, and trails of ants in our room, this took 2 days and 4 visits to reception before it was sorted, then our sink plug broke and wouldn't come out leaving water going stagnant in it and took a further 2 days to get fixed.

The lunch time buffet is good, barbecued food, pizza, salads, ice cream etc, this can by eaten sat overlooking the pool in the down stairs restaurant.

And now for the rest, the hotel is scruffy and dirty throughout, the bar chairs are stained and tatty and the corridors are dirty and not cleaned regularly enough.

The men's toilets by the pool are a disgrace they are flooded in urine, and are not cleaned throughout the day. My wife had to rinse our 6 year old feet when he came out! There was a cleaning timetable/rota on the wall which was signed off for the full day 'in the morning!' The smell got so bad we reported this to reception (twice), the following day it was still the same, after taking this matter up with them again I was horrified to be told 'yes we know, we need a part!'Apparently there is a broken pipe connecter, rather than close them down or even put a sign on the broken toilet, or even clean them they were just left to develop into a health issue. You would expect the management to pick up on this, but we have seen no sign of them, so standards seem very low.

The pool area is filthy and during our stay we never saw it being cleaned, not even the nightly jet spray, nothing was wiped tables included, the loungers where never moved once, there was a smell of dirty stagnant water with blocked drains. A number of guests, myself included have had quite nasty ear infections. Ants were everywhere.

Food in the restaurant is quite poor, very badly presented, of little selection and in some cases even worse cooked, our first breakfast consisted of an uncooked raw pork sausage, lucky it tasted that bad, it was spat out.

Other guests, us included, have gone out for meals as 2 weeks of this standard of dining would be unbearable. (Defeats the object of all inclusive!)

The evening show which consists mainly of the entertainment team showing off No professional shows. This is presented in an outside arena which involves sitting on hard wooden benches for 3 hours, not comfy!

Drinks are obtained from the pool bar in the smallest thinnest flimsy plastic cups, the type you have at a kids 5th birthday party. There is no waiter service so you have to leave the show to get a drink. What do you do with your kids ??

To summarise it's not all bad, but it's defiantly not all good not even close to it.

There are far far better hotels around with a far cheaper price tag. You only have to look next door. We paid £4000 for 2 weeks Inc flights booking direct, plus the extra we had to spend on eating out.

With a BIG clean up and a management team with pride this hotel could be good.

With its location and views this hotel should be good. But at present is really very bad. A lot of fellow guests have adopted the 'well we're here now' attitude and I can't blame them in some ways but I really couldn't recommend this hotel to anyone until they have addressed the issues.

We will never stay again.
