my goodness me. what to say?

when we booked our trip to cyprus back in february 2011, we thought it looked amazing in the photos, but as we know, photos can be tampered with.

no matter, we thought, we'll just go and try to enjoy our first family holiday abroad.

our flight out of manchester was delayed and as luck would have it we arrived at night, so there was no chance of seeing the facilities or getting something to eat in the compound.

next morning - a beautiful hot, sunny one - we went for breakfast and a look around our place of choice. it was just superb. not exactly like the pictures we saw (take note!) but pretty close...

it was just great to be away from cold scotland and to be basking in the humidity and sun. wow!

the whole holiday, the island, the town, the sights, the food and the people were fantastic.

if there were negatives they were mostly about the

loved everything about the place, entertainment was excellent, staff especially cleaning and waiting staff were great. I have kept in contact with the night time entertainment team. There was so much going on in the complex we were spoilt for choice. WQe went near the end of the season so expected it to be calming down, but not at all!! My childrem learnt how to swim and joined the theater school/ We got involved in the night time entertainment and enjoyed everything around cyprus and in the hotel. The rooms were very spacious and exactly what you need when you have kids that need a break from the sun. If they dont want to go in there are plenty to do inside the complex. Can not stress enough how amazing we found this, we will never go any where else.

Awful, booked for Aliathon was put in Aegean next door to village. Bed covers marked, no kids entertainment in day. No hot food available at pool bar. I paid for superior room got nothing superior. I paid £4000 for holiday wasn't even worth £2500.00. First choice are now last resort to me. Have complained both at the resort and head office but no joy there. All they could say was it was my personal choice not to like it and that I have no claim for mis-representation on their part. I should have stipulated my room before I went there.
