Koh Phangan, Blue Lotus Resort

Ko Phangan, Blue Lotus Resort is located near most shopping places. The view from hotel is great. No one can complain about the staff and service as it is unmatchable. The rooms were clean. I stayed here when I visited Thailand with my cousins. We had a lot of fun shopping around. The hotel itself was so beautiful. The staff helped us a lot as we were new to Thailand. The rooms were not that lavish but the facilities being provided to us covered for that. If you do not plan on spending a lot of money than this is the place to stay. Its calm and very good in terms of value for money.

Blue Lotus Resort - The most fantastic place ever! Had an amazing atmosphere and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious and well priced. Just the right location for the full moon party, not too close to the noise but only a short taxi ride to the party. The bungalows were really clean and most have balconies that look out to the sea. Important to note that you can't swim in the sea here because it is too shallow. Highly recommeded!

My friend and I stayed here in November 2007 for the full moon party and i would go back in a flash! The staff and food were fantastic, it is only a short drive from the main tourist beach but it felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, it is so idillic and i would recomend it to everyone, I don't have a bad word to say about it! We had an amazing time and met some fantastic people, it didn't matter that the shower was cold and the toilet didn't flush, it all added to the experience!

I have stayed at the Blue Lotus several times, the owners are great, the staff are fantastic, food is high quality and the rooms are clean. I have met some great people at the Blue Lotus.

Having spent a lot of time in Thailand both travelling and on 'holiday', those that chose the 4 star hotel complexes are missing out on what Thailand is all about. The simple living on a beach, cold showers and flushing your toilet with the help of a bowl is what it's all about.

I have stayed in a variety of accommodation from no windows, electric or bedding to 4 star Bangkok hotels a great mix is that found at the Blue Lotus Resort. The huts are beach front, the sea is 10 paces away as is the restaurant, and yes the water is cold and the toilets don't flush but they supply bedding and cleaners every day.

Pong the owner has speed boats, water skis and will take you out at any time.

This resort is in the Gulf of Thailand (not in the tsunami areas) a flight from Bangkok to samui is £45 and the boat is £1.10 (40 minutes)
