Bangkok, The Oriental Bangkok

This must be one of the best hotels in the world, i have only had the chance to stay here three times, however the staff alway remember your name the rooms are beautiful, also an excellent choice of restuarants within the hotel.

My Thai partner and I were in the The Oriental Bangkok for 2 nights on the last occasion EVER that we stayed.

Despite its reputation cultivated by a slick marketing dept. service was poor. We ate room service at around 8 pm then went out, leaving the "please make up room" notice on the door. At 2am no one had made up the room and our leftover food had stunk the room out as the ac had gone off.

The following evening security prevented my partner from going to the room. No reason given. They assume everyone thai at the hotel is a prostitute.
