Selected Bayview Club Room With Numerous Amenities
Selected Bayview Club room with numerous amenities but we had to request that the hotel provide us with the advertised amenities. We had a choice of buffet breakfast or breakfast in bed. The reception had to call for permission to provide it but gave us a coupon for breakfast in the room. When ordering breakfast, the server said we had to pay or talk to his supervisor. I told him, bring your supervisor. Afterwards, I immediately contacted the front desk and they handled the issue. The room was for 3 of us but they only provided towels for 2 and no bath robes were provided as advertised. I contacted the front desk, who told me to call housekeeping. I found house-keeping worker in the hall and asked for extra towels for 3 guests. He gave me one bath towel and said we had to pay for a third hand towel, when there are 3 guests in the room. House keeping brought 1 bath robe, so I was reluctant to request bath robes for 3 or hear, you have to pay extra. Carpet in the room was dirty, torn in places and bare spots in other sections. On the morning we were leaving, it rained and water was all over our pillow on one bed and the floor beside the bed, as it is leaking from the ceiling. I had to request a complimentary sandwich for 3 from the coffee shop and had it delivered to our room. I requested to speak with the manager on duty and she simply apologized for the problems we encounter but did not offer a discount. To be fair, around 10am on morning of checkout, the manager asked if we wanted to change rooms. Well, that made no sense since the check out time was noon or you had to pay extra. I called house keeping to check the mini bar and request they report it directly to the front desk. 20 minutes later, as I attempted to check out, I had to wait for 15 minutes because the cashier said house keeping must check mini bar. I said, it has already been check but the usual, just wait a while. Lousy hotel, avoid at all costs. I stayed there because of the location, it was within walking distance to our appointment. I should have learned from my first stay but thought by making a reservation directly with hotel and selecting a much more superior class room at $137 per night, how could I go wrong. The answer is, I was wrong and sadly mistaken to choose this hotel. It's as the expression goes, Buyer Beware!
Manila, Bayview Park Hotel - The Hotel Does Not Lo
Manila, Bayview Park Hotel - The hotel does not look like what they have in their website. Very run down and seems like whoever own it does not have any interest in renovating it. They put us in a room with molds and when we told the front desk they do not know what to do and have no interest in moving us in any other room. The room is so old it has cracks all over the wall. Fridge does not work and yup! They charge us twice for 1 drink we took out of the fridge! The place smells so old and so moldy. Phone does not work and towels are so old that the towel I use to dry my dog looks better! They have rips on their old bedsheets they use. The restaurant was terrible! One time we ate breakfast and the food that was supposed to be hot was so cold! We did not stay the whole duration of our stay that we paid through Expedia and moved out. Of course, Expedia refuses to re-imburse for the rest of our money. There is nothing good I can say about this hotel. It is not a 3 star hotel like they say they are. I will not even give them a star for that matter!
