Goa, Candolim, Dom Francisco

We had a bad experience with this Hotel during our stay in May'08. Some staff were very unfriendly and do not even respond. It took over an hour for some one even to give me a bath soap and drinking water..... Wont recommend to anyone.

We flew to Goa on the 30th March 2006 with My Travel. They where fantastic. This was my second visit to Goa this year, and we booked a package through Direct Holidays.

We booked in and we were shown to a room right at the back of the hotel, which consisted of several rows of run down buildings (if you can call it a hotel). We walked for several minutes across broken paths and mud, and the room we entered was padlocked up. On entering the room I was amazed. It was filthy. The sheets were dirty, and there was a strong musty smell. The bathroom was disgusting. The fridge was dirty, and the wardrobe was filthy. There was also a door in the room which was bolted up. Who knows what was behind the door? I complained and said I could not stay in this room. We then trekked across further broken paths and mud to another room. The only improvement was that it had air conditioning and a T.V., but again the room was filthy. This was my 12th visit to Goa, so I am not blind to basic accommodation. There were also local people living in these rooms, which we found to be strange. At this point we left and found an apartment. All I can say is, if you have booked this hotel, try to change it with your tour operator. I really wished we had.
