Casa Papaya Boutique Resort

We booked a cottage at papayas in advance after it had been highly recommended by some friends of ours who stayed last year.

Having stayed in bamboo matting huts in palolem years ago we were delighted to discover the rooms in papayas were really solid, built out of thick wood and were much larger than we were expecting. There was good spacing between the rooms offering us loads of privacy and the garden was just gorgeous. We picked a garden located rather than a sea facing cottage as we were really after peace and quiet and that's what we got, we couldn't even see our neighbours through the thick vegetation. The showers were great, lots of hot water and pressure though you did have to let the water run for quite a while before you got hot water. The whole place was very rustic ( lots of attention to detail) and after checking out the prices of similar places on the internet we found it to be very good value.

The owner Leslie is just the sweetest most helpful guy you could meet.
