The Room We Had Was Very Nice Apart From The Towel
The room we had was very nice apart from the towels disappearing for 3 hours every day. The Miramar Hammamet grounds are extensive and lead to a lovey long sandy beach. Staff quite helpful and friendly but the food was a let down - I've never been offered last nights boiled carrots before for breakfast! but the location between the 2 parts fo Hammamet make it ideal.

At The Hammamet Mirimar In Tunisia, The Towels Are
At the Hammamet Mirimar in Tunisia, the towels are taken away by the maids in the morning, washed, and brought back 3-4 hours later. If you want a shower in between then you have to drip dry.
The rooms were basic: beds, mirror, stool, chair, wardrobe, bathroom, NO hair drier, NO fridge, NO drawers.
In our room the floors were scuffed and appeared almost dirty, and the telephone socket was hanging out of the wall. The balcony looked as though it still needed painting, and the rail was flaking off with paint.
The bathroom towel rail was rusty and flaking paint, and the plug in the sink didn't hold in the water.
The food was virtually the same every night. A bit more variety would have been nice. Myself and my partner got through 2 packets of diarrhea tablets.
All in all there is no way that I recommend this hotel, not at a 4 star rating anyway.

Miramar Hammamet Is Set In Large Gardens Which Are
Miramar Hammamet is set in large gardens which are a pleasure to walk round, Three pools one of which is an aromatherapy type, hammam I think. The staff are fantastic especially Morad & Jellel. It's an old style Mourish hotel with lots of character. They need to go to see the Phenicia and take a few notes, that is the 21st century standard for four star and sets the standard, which is very hard to beat. All in all avoid this hotel until they have learnt a few lessons and finished the refurb.
