We Spent A Week Praslin, Coco De Mer After A Wee

We spent a week Praslin, Coco de Mer after a week in a hotel Mahe. Coco de Mer was far superior in terms of food, service and setting. The rooms are very spacious.

I Agree With The First Person Who Wrote The Review

I agree with the first person who wrote the review of Praslin Coco de Mer on the 30th October 2004. And I would just at this:

We stayed at Coco de Mer the first week of November and we were quite disappointed. We expected something similar like Sunset Beach Hotel on Mahe (they are both rated as 4 star).

It was my mistake that we went to this hotel. The travel company advised us about the seawead and they recommended two other hotels, but I wanted to go to this hotel because all the pictures on all the websites looked very nice. - I should listen to them:)

On the fifth day we came back from the beach to find that there was just one small towel left in the bathroom (it was the first time our towels were changed). I went to the reception to ask for some towels because we wanted to have a shower. I was told that we would get some towels at 3PM (it was 1.30 pm). They had to give me towels which people use on the beach, because they didn't have any bathroom towels. I would not expect this from a 4 star hotel.

I love Seychelles but next time I will stay in a different hotel.

Classed As A 4 Star, The Praslin Coco De Mer Is Cl

Classed as a 4 star, the Praslin Coco de Mer is closer to a 2+ star. Not all the rooms are done up as nicely as the photos show, in fact the one we stayed in was pretty scruffy and dare I say dirty in places. The 2 beaches linked to the hotel are pretty poor (for Seychelles standards).

Food was very bland, and seemed to rotate on a weekly basis, so if you are there for 2 weeks, then expect the same menu twice. We didn't expect to find featured "Italian" and BBQ nights where you were expected to join in (with your co-guests) with the featured entertainment.....that's not what most people go to the Seychelles for.

There are better hotels for the same money on Praslin, therefore avoid.
