At The Agadir Beach Club Hotel I Didn't Feel Safe
At the Agadir Beach Club hotel I didn't feel safe walking anywhere on my own its very intimidating. Food was very strange they served chicken soup for breakfast,it was the same everyday. The Morrocan restaurant was the best bit of our holiday food was very nice and traditional. The traditional band and belly dancer were fab. It did seem like the staff were only nice to you when you tipped well. My boyfriend AND I had a dodgy tummy all holiday not sure what from, every where seemed clean. Overall Morroco was a huge disappointment for me.

Agadir Beach Club Bed Linen And Towels Old And In
Agadir Beach Club bed linen and towels old and in need of replacement. Cracked baths, loose tap fittings, water leaking through bathroom floor from unknown source, light bulbs in hallways not replaced when worn. No fresh fruit apart from oranges/mandarins. Same buffet breakfast offering each day. Staff very friendly but lacking efficiency. Immediate surrounding area is in dangerous state of disrepair with broken footpaths, debris strewn along footpaths, holes in the footpaths and roads. Very poor drainage resulting in large pools of water on footpaths and roads. Poor drainage and sewage system in Agadir generally resulting in large volumes of rubbish and filth flowing onto beach when it rains. Indeed the beach was unusable for much of week because of this detritus. Begging is a major problem in the area. We were accosted several times daily within two/three hundred metres of hotel by very persistent young women and children. Overall this hotel does not warrant four star rating and I would not use it again

Agadir Beach Club Good Points
Agadir Beach Club
Good Points
. Large swimming pool
. Elegant reception and public area
. Beachfront location
. Excellent maid service
. Staff very friendly
. Free sun beds umbrellas and towels
Bad Points
. Bedrooms and a lot of the hotel in need of refurbishment
. Food very drab, buffet 3 times a week which was good. Other than that most evenings the food was very bland with only a bowl of lettuce and tomato for salad.
No very much fresh fruit - tinned fruit for breakfast.
. 4 other restaurants to choose from with a small supplement. However they were mostly empty. Dining in the Marrakech restaurant usually ended up with stomach problems next day!
. Resort does not have many bars that serve alcohol
. Resort very limited in what it offers for the tourist
. Continual hassling by local people to give money at any opportunity or to buy things
. Same group singing the same songs each evening.
. Daytime entertainment programme by the animation team very limited. Didn't seem to have any idea of what games to organise in the pool.
. No games room
. No TV lounge for any sports enthusiasts
. Should be graded a 3* hotel not 4*
Personally we would not go back to this hotel or Morocco. Visited Marrakech, which was a fantastic experience which should not be missed.
Stayed in Agadir Beach Club January 2005. We had a most enjoyable holiday. Its in an excellent location on the beach, the staff are friendly and most helpful. We stayed B & B there, the breakfast is fairly basic, fruit is tinned, but their breads were beautiful, and there was cereal and yogurt. We found some lovely restaurants in the area and never had a bad meal in any of them. The locals do try to get you to buy from them but it is their way of life and the majority of them are polite. Overall we had a wonderful holiday & are going back again to Agadir Beach Club this year.
