We Booked Palma Rima Hotel As We Normally Stay At
We booked Palma Rima hotel as we normally stay at the Corinthia Atlantic but wanted to be nearer the resort 'centre'. On arrival, the staff were helpful and the reception was large and modern, however on moving to the accomodation we were shocked by the very poor standards in that the room was not cleaned properly, the toilet leaked, the shower had exposed pipework and cracked tiles. There was no toilet roll (this was remedied as well as the toilet leak).
In the room, the floor still had drink spill stains, The bedding was old and 'tired' and curtains 'tatty'. There was one double wardrobe with an internal top shelf, one bedside table, no sidelights except those fixed to the wall with the switch out of reach when sitting in bed and one 'dressing table with a small drawer so nowhere to put your clothes.
The buffet breakfast and dinner for the two days that we stayed consisted of:
Breakfast - Chopped sausage with onions, fried egg, baked beans, fried potatoes, fruit and toast plus cereals (choice of two)
Dinner4/5 choices - Consisted of either mostly Gambian food or poor imitations of French cuisine.
The A la carte in the bar was fairly good but these items were at an additional cost.
