“never Go To Delta Sharm Hotel From Hell!!!! We Was Robbed!!
I am writing this review to warn other people out there to NEVER go to this hotel. The hotel is advertised as 4* but is clearly 2*. There are a number of points I would like to list before I lead on the are room being robbed and how we were treated by management!!
Booked a one bedroom apartment for a weeks holiday for me & my mum. The room was nothing like the modern room advertised on their website. It was tacky, old & shower just had some dirty curtain round it which meant the bathroom was flooded everytime you had a shower. There was a safety deposit box in the room in the wardrobe however this was not bolted down & could be picked up by someone who could just walk out with it. As we got their quite late went for something quick to eat in the friends restaurant. there didnt seem much but as we were tired from arriving late thought it might seem better in the morning. I was very wrong!
Sunday - Breakfast was hot dog sausages chopped up & mash potatoe. who has mash potatoe for breakfast?? there was no continental breakfast from 10:30-11:30 as advetised. thought we'd spend the day by the pool. was harrassed all day by staff coming up to us & trying to get us to book trips through the resort. tryed to get drinks from the bar pool, bar attendant was too busy chatting on his phone when he did eventually serve me he sent me into the restaurant where breakfast had been for a soft drink which just had orange juice. There was also no daily animation program which was advetised on thier website, on lowcostholidays website & in the leaflet they give us when we checked in of the dinner times. Went to the room for a shower in the afternoon & cleaners had been in & left the door unlocked, Dinner that night consisted off just a choice off four things. tryed again to get a drink from the bar & you had to literally beg to get a drink of coke!! I've never written a review before & I am not the kind of person to moan but this was shocking, I have stayed in all inclusive in 3* hotels before & never witnessed anything like this!
Monday - thought w'd take the hotel bus to the beach. when we arrived beached was a tiny part sectioned of & everyone was packed on like sardines. Sun unbrella's covered the whole area & even the sea was sectioned of with ropes in the water, you couldnt swim out more than about 10 metres. went to naayam bay around 6 clock that eveing getting back around 8:30pm, poped into the room to drop of gifts w'd bought for people & use the toilet. went to dinner 8:45 and got back at 9:30 which is when we realised we had been robbed!!! the window next to the main door was open despite this being locked & the curtain had been pulled back. it was definately an inside job as cleaners had been in both days & have opened the latch on the window so they could get in while we was st dinner. we later realised one of the waitors in the restaurant kept filling up are drinks after we had eaten & now think he may have been in on this as we were robbed in the 45mins we went to dinner, yet had been on the beach all day & naayam bay 6-8:30. they had taken all my jewerally & my mums, my gifts I had bought & mp3 player. all together around £400 of stuff. my mum called reception straight way to tell them we had been robbed & it took them 10 min to try & work out what she was saying. reception staff & security finally came round & just seemed to keep asking questions but not actually do anything to find the person. it was like they didnt seem to believe you. I asked about the police & could they call them. i was told it was my right to report it to police but they were never actually called. we was moved to another room which was a studio room & looked like the nice rooms advertised on their website.
Tuesday - went to reception 1st thing in the morning & the staff that were on the desk didnt have a clue what i was talking about when i was asking what had been done over night to find this person/s. told them i wanted to make a phone call & charged me £60 to ring my insurance company & make a few other calls to England. We were told on arrival are rep was available everyday in are lunch hour yet we were then told the day after we were robbed he wasnt availble till 6pm that day. I asked for a report from the hotel for my insurance but they refused to give one saying it wasn't their responsibility. wen we asked what they were doing about the fact we had been robbed they just said they were investigating & house cleaning people & their supervisor were under surspion but wether this was true or not I dont know. I told them i thought it was an inside job & the hotel agreed with this saying that for sure it was as no one had broken in & couldn't break in if the window was locked, agreeing that only their staff had only been in the room & had opportunity to do this. The hotel told me no one's room had been robbed before & this was unusual, however, since coming back & reading other peoples reviews it is clear to see this happens often so the hotel lied to us about this!! By this point i'd had enough & booked the 1st flight home which was later that afternoon. again the hotel tried putting us off going to the police station saying w'd be their for about 6 hours while they got translators & stuff & they made it out like w'd be interrogated by the police. me & my mum had booked a massage for the wednesday & i asked the hotel for the money back for this as we were leaving & even if we had stayed we wouldnt have gone after what happened to us. they wouldnt give us the full amount back & only gave us half of what we had paid meaning I lost another £40 their. they didn't even offer to pay for are taxi to the airport which i thought would have been the last they could have done considering what their guests had been through. all in all this was the worst hotel I have been to, it might look nice on the outisde with its 12 pools & nice gardens but Delta Sharm is not all what it seems. It wouldn't surprise me if the security & reception staff were involved in this set up to as the whole resort is suppose to be protected by security & reception staff even tried to blame people who had bought apartments in the resort for robbing us yet it was very clear this was set up by the cleaing & restaurant staff who were watching us & keeping an eye on where were. Please DO NOT even consider going to this resort it is not worth it! This review is not to reflect a bad reputation of the Delta Sharm resort & its management they do that by themselves through the poor responses they write to reviews which show no sympathy or empathy to what their guests have been thorugh. As a guest you dont even get a sorry from them for what has happened. People are not safe at this resort. this is an honest review of my experience at the resort as I would not wish any other person to go through the nightmare I did at this resort and be dealt with by such appalling management!! I have no reason to lie unlike Delta Sharm's management who are trying to cover thier back! It has ruined my dreams of Egypt & cost me a fortune. Delta Sharm is dangerous & you & your families are NOT SAFE at this resort! I ask you to please read other guest reviews of this resort & make up your own mind as to who is writing the right & truthful message!
