Sofitel

We stayed at the Sofitel for my wife's 50th birthday weekend. The hotel was booked through Qantas Holidays who had organised flights, transfers and accommodation for this trip.

Upon arrival check-in was professional, and our luggage was sent to the room to arrive just after we did.

Our corner room itself was spotless, extremely comfortable, and we enjoyed views over Southbank, Port Philip Bay, the MCG and across to the Dandenongs.

Within 10 minutes of arrival, the management had sent up a card and bottle of bubbly - this was unexpected and the icing on the cake of a great weekend in Melbourne.

Throughout our stay the service was professional, curteous and discreet - nothing was too much trouble for the hotel staff.

This is a hotel we will return to again next time we come to Melbourne.
