I would recommend anyone to just TRY visiting Liverpool, a lot of people have a (wrongly) poor impression of the city if they haven't been there for a long time but I must say its certainly worth just trying the once and I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do.

Went to Liverpool for the weekend as my girlfriend is starting university there.

Overall Liverpool City Centre was clean and tidy with everything close at hand.

Food areas were next to the shopping areas and we ate at La Tasca's in Queens' Square.

The only really bad part was all the hills and also that there was a lot of horse droppings but no horses to be seen.

I will be going back to stay but that's because of my girlfriend and not of the city.
