Rabbits Vehicle Hire

I hired an estate car from Rabbits vehicle hire a couple of years ago and was happy with the car and the service. I'm not sure if this is a franchise business as the branch I hired from originally has now disappeared.

I had the misfortune of hiring from their Reading branch/ franchise recently and was appalled with both the car and the service.

When I hired an estate car two years ago I was given a clean VW passat. On this occasion the car was a Skoda (which nobody confirmed to me until I arrived to collect)

The car itself was filthy, it clearly hadn't been cleaned since the last person hired it. I mentioned this to the guy serving me who shrugged and said they'd give it a 'wipe over' whilst I waited.

To my disappointment he did literally that and the car still looked awful. I asked to speak to a manager as the car certainly wasn't cheap to hire and had the 'pleasure' of speaking to a Mr Kevin Rapson who also shrugged off my concerns and charmingly told me that if I had a complaint to put it in writing!

I have very rarely found the need to complain or leave a negative review about anything in my 40 odd years however the poor attitude, service and vehicles at Rabbits vehicle hire had me seething.

It goes without saying that I will NEVER be hiring from them again.
