Wreck
The car hired to us by 'FIRST CAR' was a complete WRECK. Huge mileage; sounded like a tank; brakes squealed; hand brake would not hold. Every body pannel was badly dented, one pannel was completely missing. Wiper was totally missing; wing mirror was falling off and not adjustable; spare tyre was flat (which we had to pay for to repair); and tyre had a huge bulge in the tread. Hub caps split and broken (kept on falling off); staff at hire reception refused change of car or deposit refunds, were extremely rude, could not give a damn and demanded tips. We consider the car was extremely dangerous. Like us, you could have your holiday totally ruined by 'FIRST CAR', or WORSE!

Unreliable, Warning!
During August 2013 we rented a car at First Rent a Car Ibiza (Playa den Bossa). The day before we reserved the cheapest car, which was still available for the following day. When we arrived at the office of First rent a Car, the cheapest car was (surprisingly) not available. For an extra 10 euro we could rent a more expensive car. We decided to rent the more expensive car, because it was only for 1 day. We also took the extra insurance to cover possible damage.
We had to leave a deposit of 150 euro. They took a print of our credit card to reserve the 150 euro. At the end of the day (at 01:00 hours) we returned the car in front of the office and left the keys in their mailbox.
When we got back from holiday, we checked our credit card balance. It turned out that they charged an extra 200 euro from our credit card. We immediately phoned First rent a Car, and asked for an explanation. The employee told us that there was a big damaged at the rear of the car. This was very strange because we were sure that there was no damage when we returned the car. Besides this, we had the extra insurance. We asked for the boss of the office, but he was not around. The employee told us that the boss would phone us back. We phoned 3 times but the boss was never around. Also, we never received a phone call back from First rent a Car.
We tried e-mailing. We e-mailed headquarters 3 times for an explanation. They never responded on any of the e-mails!
This care hire is UNRELIABLE, please be warned and think twice if you want to hire a car with them.

Simple, Cheap And Nice
My family and I rented a 5 door Hyundai I-30 from First Rent a Car in Ibiza from the 29/08 until the 10/09 last year. The service was good, the attention aswell and we had no problems with hidden extras or any such things. They do pick up and drop off at the airport (their offices are based 5 minutes away) and out of hour deliveries. You need to leave a deposit which ia a let down for some people but you can pay cash or debit card aswell which is a good thing for some people. Their fuel policy is return the car with the same fuel. We got it with a quarter of a tank and brought it back the same.
