Really Terrifying Experience

We left NYC bound for D.C. at around 2:00 p.m. March 2, 2018. The weather was unpredictable because of some storm activity and high winds. The traffic delays were really bad, but just about two hours into the ride, our bus pulled over and said the bridges were out ahead and that there would be delay, which was confirmed. WE REMAINED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD THE ENTIRE NIGHT - 15 HOURS total! No water, no food, no explanation. Turns out, our driver could not continue because he was out of hours. Megabus NEVER sent another driver or bus! At around 6:00 a.m., four passengers, including me, called Uber, local Taxis, and finally Lyft and finally got a car to come pick us up for the hour and half drive to D.C. It cost another $200 to make that trip. We were terrified to get out of the bus, we were cold, the bathroom was disgusting. Have we heard from Megabus, after multiple phone calls? NO!!!! Most of the passengers were students and couldn't afford an additional $200 for a taxi. Shame on Megabus.

on november 24, 2017 I was traveling from Austin,tx to Houston,tx, in Austin, the bus arrived 30 minute lay, and returning from Houston, arrive, 45 minute late, also, on the stop 13250 FM 1960W,(shell station) megabus, dont have any local, where the passanger may wait for the bus, you have to stay on the strees, waiting for the bus, and on the gas station shell, dont have any information about th megabus, and they say the bus have wifi, but any wifi was in the bus.

Very Basic Service

I recently took the megabus on a new route from Devon. The service is very basic, the actual vehicles seem noisy. The drivers try to be too jokey; it's not meant to be a coach tour but an express service. The vehicle was basically pretty uncomfortable with seats very close together. Changing drivers at Bristol en route causes a great deal of delay and there are no real stopping points except in a side street. Megabus is clearly trying to compete with National Express and you like a rough ride with delays at a rock bottom price then that's probably ok; but could hardly recommend the service

Traumatic Unsafe Experience

I was a passenger on the mega bus on August 4th 2017. There was an 3 hour delay.

Apparently there was a sociopathic nymphomaniac who had been masturbating upstairs.

This rationally caused a female passenger to be threatened. She informed the mega bus driver.

The bus driver was suppose to escort the person who was masturbating since it was the person who was the cause of the disturbance.

However we waited a few minutes for the police to come. But no one ever came to escort or arrest the person.

Instead the girl decide to leave the bus. She felt she was left with no option as she feared for her safety.

The mega bus driver implied that if a person was to leave to check on the girl they would be locked out and unable to obtain their luggage and belongings.

Hence I believe mega bus has promoted and endorsed sexual violence against women.

Additionally, I was almost left stranded in Atlanta as the wrong ticket information was provided to me. The bus driver from Atlanta to New Orleans refused to offer assistance. Instead she only suggested I should buy a new ticket.

I was eventually able to obtain the correct ticket number after speaking to various customer service. There was a clear obvious communication gap. Most of the receptionist could not understand me to properly serve me throughout this process.

Hence I have had a negative experience with mega bus.

Horrible Customer Service

I purchased two tickets on Megabus to get my daughters out of Orlando during a hurricane. The buses were cancelled and I was refused a refund or credit. Against my wishes my daughters again used Mega Bus to travel to Orlando because it was cheaper. A young boy and his father, who did not speak English, were treated so rudely. The driver asked the boy how old he was and when he couldn't respond he motioned for him to get out of line. After all the passengers were on he was just going to leave him without any attempt to help them. I stopped the driver and offered to translate. The boy, who traveled here on Megabus, was asked his age. I translated and the driver said he wouldn't take a 14 year old alone. When I explained that he came alone the driver asked to see the ticket. The boy showed him the return ticket. The driver said that's today's ticket and got on the bus. I told the boy to show him the original ticket. He pulled it up and the dad was knocking on the door and motioning to the phone. The driver ignored him and pulled away! The complete lack of effort and concern was unbelievable! I told my daughters to return on Greyhound, no matter what the cost. CHEAP is not the way!

Misdirection And Misschedule

The bus leaving NYC left 8 minutes early, with no concern for later arriving passengers. I asked the driver when I got off in New Brunswick where to get the returning bus and was told it was the same place as the drop off. On my return trip, no bus came. I asked the first driver who did stop and was told (1) the stop was diagonally across the street and (2) I had just missed the return bus. This was confirmed by a passenger. Rather than wait 2 hours for the next bus in the street with no seating, I took a train home. There has been no response from Mega bus to my complaint and request for partial refund. I will not ride Mega Bus or Coach again; not worth it at any price.

Yesterday we traveled to London from Cardiff the driver on our return from Victoria to Cardiff at 17.15 was excellent the driver was brilliant his information which he delivered to us all was fantastic very good humour will definitely travel with you again well done on excellent customer service and satisfaction

Unacceptable

I boarded the service from Pembroke Dock to Cardiff Kingsway GQ. What could have been an efficient and pleasant journey was anything but. It immediately became apparent that the driver was being 'trained" and as such the service was incredibly late arriving in Cardiff. This nearly cost me an expensive connection to London and having had to run with an extremely heavy bag I became very nauseous and suffered a strained back. The driver and instructor were polite and professional, cannot fault them. My issue lies with the management personel who thought it acceptable to potentially jeopardise their passengers journeys by authorising training to take place without giving warning/seeking passenger permission.

I cannot justify taking Megabus again, neither can I recommend it due to this level of contempt.

Driver Of Megabus From Preston In January 2017 Was Very Bad

I travelled with Megabus in the month of January 2017, a driver who took the bus from Preston was horrendous. The coach serial number was 54207 and the coach registration No. was SF62 CRZ. The driver that took over from Preston was very burly, arrogant, intimidating, and was very rude to passengers. It was freezing cold, passengers asked him to put the heating, he blatantantly said No, that he wouldnt do it, shouting at passengers, telling passengers to get off the coach if they dont like what was doing. All we asked was the heating in the coach be turned on, as passengers were very cold, he just ignored the people or he shouted at any body who went to ask him, to shout up and sit down. He is very fat, and most probably did not fee the cold, or he had heating in the driver's cabin.

He also drove very carelessly without any care in the world.

Never Lose Your Wallet

I am battling with my Huntington's disease and my wallet accidentally fell out of my shorts on the bus trip leaving at Jun 26 at 10:25 from Knoxville to DC arriving on the 3rd at 7.pm.. Naturally some kept my wallet. I wish the person who kept my wallet and all your friends and relatives go straight to hell.
