The Airport Has No Rail Link, Only Buses, And Taxi
The airport has no rail link, only buses, and taxis have a 15/20Euro minimum fare, even to local airport hotels. The bus is the best bet to the town, as its only about 2 euros, but buy the ticket before you get on, and validate the ticket on the bus. Tickets covering multiple days do not cost much.
If travelling elsewhere, use the bus to get to the train station, where if you buy the tickets aimed at commuters (as low as 20% of the highest standard fares) you can get to Milan or Como/Switzerland for just over 4 and 6 euros respectively.
The airport looked pretty dirty, and although there were ample seats, very few of these can see the arrival departure monitors. It has an OK number of food places at normal airport hyped prices, and not many other shops (other than car hire).
If you do have a long wait, or need to feed many, leave the terminal and walk towards the bus, then the car park and turn left towards the main road. Then walk along the pavement towards the bus stop and go under the tunnel and turn left, taking you into a massive shopping centre with better prices than in the UK.

I Was Very Impressed With Milan-bergamo Airport. W
I was very impressed with Milan-Bergamo airport. We had a short city break in Milan and it was brilliant, partly due to the quality and efficiency of this airport. The terminal was spacious, clean and had plenty of facillities like shops, food outlets and restaurants. The transport is brilliant, especially by road. Bergamo is the furthest away from Milan of all the Milan airports, but not my much. It's only about five miles further from Milan than the main Malpensa airport. By the time you've finished faffing around in Malpensa, in huge queues in a large uncomfortable airport and driving on very busy roads, none of which that go straight from the airport to Milan you could of flown to Bergamo and got to Milan quicker on a quieter direct road and be alot less stressed.
I highly recommend that you use someone like Ryanair or Wizzair to Bergamo and avoid using any airline to Malpensa as Bergamo is alot more stress free and can get you to Milam quicker as Bergamo has better roads to Milan and shorter queues in the terminal.
