Consorzio Airport Shuttle/airportshuttle
Consorzio Airport Shuttle a.k.a. airportshuttle.it
Consorzio airport shuttle, a.k.a. airportshuttle.it, at Fiumicino (Rome) airport sent us a no show and left us stranded on November 7, 2017, They claimed the driver had waited until 19:45. We arrived at the exit at 19:40 – but no driver holding up a sign with our name on it was in sight. The driver probably lied about the time he was there until, and probably found other passengers/suckers to take to Rome. Consorzio a.k.a. airportshuttle.it, has an escape clause on the Expedia voucher saying the driver would wait one "Cinderella" hour from the time the plane landed. Considering the size of the airport and the inefficiency of some of the services such as baggage retrieval, this IS A RIDICULOUS requirement. They also told us we should have called them if we were exceeding the one Cinderella hour. We did not turn on our stop watches as we went from the plane, to a bus, to passport control, and then to baggage retrieval. Consorzio airport shuttle, a.k.a. airportshuttle.it, at Fiumicino (Rome) did not provide a toll free number so that we could call them via Skype. Our home country phone plan does not allow for calls abroad. We always reactivate our Italian phone cards the day after we arrive. My email was open on wifi. If they were able to send me a no show and I was able to answer them by email, why didn't they send an email well before the Cinderella hour just to ask where we were? We paid Expedia in advance for the purpose of reaching our hotel. Consorzio airport shuttle, a.k.a. airportshuttle.it, at Fiumicino (Rome) exploited us. We paid Expedia for this service and then paid again at the airport when Consorzio put us on a shuttle for 45 euros - and not a private transfer. We paid TWICE. Is this some kind of trick which Consorzio airport shuttle, a.k.a. airportshuttle.it, at Fiumicino (Rome) plays on other tired tourists arriving at the airport? We were told to stand aside and wait for a private transfer. In the end we found out this was another story, and they put us on a shuttle which was not comfortable for 74 year old passengers. In addition to their other methods of exploitation, we learned that other passengers on the shuttle paid 20 euros per person while the driver demanded 22.50 euros from each of us (45 for the 2 of us). Expedia tried to help us obtain a refund, but Consorzio airport shuttle, a.k.a. airportshuttle.it, at Fiumicino (Rome) absolutely refused. Expedia claimed that this company was only a vendor listed on their site, and that Expedia was obliged to follow the one hour escape clause. Surely Expedia receives a commission from Consorzio for each ride paid for on their site. Why does Expedia allow this unscrupulous company to even be listed on their site? This can only mean a bad business practice on the part of Expedia. In the past, we had been customers with airportshuttle.it over the course of many years and used both their airport shuttle and private transfer. I had spoken a few times on the phone with Giorgio (whose position at the company I am unfamiliar with.) We travel to Italy twice a year, but Giorgio and his fellow exploiters at Consorzio airport shuttle, a.k.a. airportshuttle.it, at Fiumicino (Rome) have unfortunately lost our business. I hope those who read this entry will be forewarned.
Expedia helped me solve the above problem with Consorzio Airport Shuttle. I feel better now after having suffered upon our arrival in Rome.

Disorganized, Stressful, Not Worth It
We chose this company based on a recommendation from a well known "travel expert" who writes guidebooks for European destinations. I assume he get paid to recommend these people. We booked with The Rome Airport Shuttle online. They sent us detailed instructions which said to look for their driver outside the exit gate (outside customs) with a sign with our name on it. Well there were at least 50 people with signs with names on them. We could not find our guy. So, the instructions said to go to Terminal B and look for their office desk. The problem was, there is no Terminal B. There are Terminals 1, 2 and 3. So we assumed it was Terminal 2 and went there. No one to be found. So we called them. We are in Terminal 3 and by the way our desk is under another name (not Rome Airport Shuttle). So we went back and found them. Okay, they said please wait over there, we will be leaving in 10 minutes. An hour later, they call the driver. He was not even at the airport. They made us wait until they had enough people to fill the shuttle. Since we had already paid, we were stuck. Then on the return trip, they were 10 minutes late to pick us up. We get in the shuttle van and the engine does not start. Very stressful. After several attempts the driver got the engine started. Next time we will just take the train from the airport.

Rome-airport-shuttle.com Rip Off
Hopefully I've got the right company here, I booked through 'www.airport-shuttle.com', which redirects you to www.rome-airport-shuttle.com'.
I paid 80 euro's for a Mercedes E Class to pick us up. On the first trip, it turned out to be a Lancia, a nice car none the less.
However, on the return journey, the car wasn't even a car, it was a mini bus!!! When I questioned this to the driver, he simply laughed.!!
I still had to pay the return journey fee of 40€. I am left fuming about this and cannot believe they can get away with this!! On their website, the only car you see is a Mercedes.
Very misleading and I only wish I had seen this website warning me beforehand..!! If I could give no stars I would.
Stay away at all costs..!!!!!!!!
The only plus side I can say is they turned up on time.

Let Down By A Scam Website. Do Not Use This Company
This website is very clever at looking real, but it is simply a horrid scam. An awful experience when you think you have ordered a shuttle service to the airport in plenty of time for an international flight, and the shuttle does not arrive. Fortunately we borrowed a friends car to get our daughter to the airport in time, but came back with a bitter taste in our mouths for the cruel people who steal money this way.

Do Not Use This Company Airportshuttle.it
I booked this service to take us from the airport to our rental apartment in Rome. When we first got off the plane there was no driver there to meet us. We then followed the instructions and went to the next terminal to find the Shuttle Office that was allegedly there. This turned into quite a hunt since nothing was marked with the name of the company and the office i was told to go said they only do cash transfers and the ones ordered, booked and paid for previously had to go wait in the "meeting area" near a post. This was all especially fun considering i had two tired kids who had just spent the previous 12 hours traveling overnight and one was not feeling well. I then called both numbers listed on the reservation voucher and got an "out of service" message for each. In the end no one ever showed up and i went back to the original office and paid cash for the shuttle into rome. AND i had the driver give me a hard time as well for not tipping him ENOUGH!! This is all a scam where they get you to pay online, then in your desperation have you pay again in cash for the service once you get there. I did a search and found this company and founder Mr. Trimarchi Raffaele is associated with other sites online so look out...i guess you get what you pay for so dont be lured in by these so called "great prices". Not a good way to start off the vacation!

Terrible Service: Rome Airport Shuttle (airportshuttle.it)
Rome airport shuttle (airportshuttle.it) is terrible.
They provided the worst transfer service I have experienced in 40 years. They made us wait in the airport for an hour before taking off, while all the time lying to us: "two more minutes..." The time it took from when I met their representative to when I was dropped off at my destination was 2 hours and 20 minutes. Very poor driving. Then the driver was angry at me for not tipping.
I called to cancel the return trip and was told I was not allowed. That I had to do it by internet. I then had to find an internet cafe, sent a cancellation. They showed up anyway, wanting to take me to the airport.
I sent a complaint to the company--no apology, no refund, no answer.
Stay away from this company.
(my return trip by taxi took 30 minutes and was 5 euro cheaper)
You should discuss the matter with your credit card company for if they charged you for a service that you cancelled that is fraud and should come off your card.

I called the service and they said that they could have someone ther in about 45 minutes. Waited 45 minutes and still no one showed.
Had to then take a cab to the airport.
And as yet have not refunded the charges to my credit card.

http://www.rome-airportshuttle.com/ provided us a fantastic service, both from and to the airport. When heavy traffic delayed our pick up, this company rang to let me know and we were very impressed with such efficiency. The walking tour was the highlight of our trip and our guide Sarah was wonderful, interesting and witty.

Avoid This Company Like The Plague! My Wife Wante
AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE! My wife wanted the convenience of having someone at the airport to meet us upon arrival so we bit the bullet and paid extra for a private transfer from Romeairport shuttle. What a mistake! Our driver was an hour late picking us up and offered no explanation or apology. I contacted the company requesting a full or partial refund, but was told that "these things happen." This company has the worst customer service department of any travel company I have ever used, their motto apparently being the customer is NEVER right and shouldn't bother them by reporting concerns. Taxis with fixed rates are readily available outside the terminal at a much lower cost and I strongly urge you to use them. If you absolutely must have a private transfer, do yourself a huge favor and find somebody else.
