We have had so many let downs on our trips in to London that it is almost a joke from the driver not being there or just arriving to linguistic issues.

In some cases we have had the treck to the taxi stand late at night arriving from Chicago and having a long wait or gypsy cabs approaching us in the terminal.

Instead of my PA fixing up our recent booking I thoght I would try myself.

I emailed and had no reply from two companies.

Searching again I found Central Chauffeur what attracted me was a toll free number and the chance to speak to someone.

They are open 24/7 so booking anytime is a snap.

My only resrvation was that the prices seemed higher than some companies, however upon further discussion pickups include all charges and to be honest after so many let downs with cheaper firms an extra $30 Bucks or so make no difference especailly when you want to get in to town.

I was advised by the operator that there were delays in and out of London due to a bridge being out. Thankfully the delays in were short on the way in and longer on the return but at least being prepared makes a difference.

A clean car and knowledgeable driver who was waiting made the transfer in perfect. We had the same driver for our return and I understand where possible the same driver is assigned to passengers.

Water on board and a clear sign (they even added our logo!) has made me a happy camper. I can recommend without reservation.
