Best Meet & Greet Gatwick

Would urge you all to NOT under any circumstances use a Company called Best Meet and Greet for parking at Gatwick - I was met by someone smoking a rolled up cigarette who would be best placed as a main character in the film Trainspotting and when I returned to collect my car the next day noticed a pot of change in the centre console had been stolen. Have emailed and tried to make contact with no avail and whilst it is not a substantial amount of money, any Company who ignores someone complaining about a theft whilst car in their care to my mind is totally untrustworthy and would strongly advise that you should go for a more established parking Company. I certainly wont make the same mistake and would urge all reading this to avoid Best Meet and Greet.

Streamlined Parking No Hassle

Gatwick Airport Meet & Greet parking,I cannot praise this service highly enough. It was just as it said it would be on the advertisement. I rang the company and spoke to a very polite friendly voice before I booked as I had never used this form of parking before. I must admit I was worried!!! But there was absolutely no need for my worry, the phone call to say we were nearing the airport was picked up and on our arrival the company driver was waiting to take the car and off we went on holiday. On our arrival back after claiming our baggage and passing through customs we phoned the tel. no. given to us when we parted with our car, made our way to the pick up point, the same place we had parted with it. A quick look around and then we saw our car being driven towards the pick up point, we made ourselves known with a quick wave to the driver and then we were on our way home. A brilliant service we will use it again for a no problem parking facility.

Gatwick Official Valet Damaged My Car

Whilst most of Gatwick is very good, for example special family security lanes, they have yet to get their official parking partner to be customer friendly.

Whilst my car was parked there they caused a small scratch on my rear bumper. This definitely wasn't their before, and I know a thing or two about car damage having worked in car rental for 7 years. They refuse point blank to pay any compensation, and instead sent me a CCTV picture of a small mark on the car. It's in a different place to the damage they caused, but to them that seems reason enough to effectively call me a liar and refuse to make what would be a pretty small compensation payment to fix the scratch.

So, don't think that just because it's "official" it's any good, and park their effectively at your own risk.

My Experience With This Company Was On Watchdog In October 2010

I would not recommend this company to anyone - I would not even trust a childs plastic car to them.

If you enter Gatwick Meet & Greet on google it will now come up with another name but their website is still registered under Gatwick Meet and Greet.net

Beware at all costs. We had an experience that left us severely out of pocket and with large losses. The owner of the company and the driver of our car (under the required age) were both found guilty by a Court of Law.

Enough said!

This Company Was Featured On Watchdog Last Night.

This company was featured on WATCHDOG last night. Avoid them at all costs. Your car is not safe with this company as people have had things stolen from their cars and their cars parked in public car parks and even hired out while you're away. One guy had a tracking device on his car and it showed his car being driven over 100mph and for 50-60 miles.

Booked on line, paid by card.Payment confirmed and shown on my account.On arrival I was first told the booking had not been completed and then that the card had been declined. I had proof of payment but they refused to look at it.Their landline only gives an answerphone.

Gatwick Meet And Greet Parking : I Booked In Jun

Gatwick Meet and Greet Parking : I booked in June for September . The first web booking said that payment had not been successful so I re-booked using Paypal. I later saw on my BAnk Statement that the payment had been twice. Despite 3 phone calls and 2 emails I didnt get anywhere. I sent a letter to the address in London quoted on the website as their head office ; it was returned by the Post Office who unfortunately hadnt ticked the box on the PO stamp which explains the reason for non-delivery. With some misgivings I did actually use the service in September and gave evidence to the collecting driver of the double payment. When I asked the driver who returned my car 1 week later what had happened he asked me to ring the Reservations line which always seems to be on ansaphone. So I've sent another email - but I'm not expecting much. I would never use them again !!

I Have Had To Put 1 Star Rating On Here But It's N

i have had to put 1 star rating on here but it's not even worth a rating about this company, I recently used them only to find out through my tracking system when I got bk that my car had been doing over 100mph and pretty much rallied about on the roads, I have worked it out that it's around about 30mile journey to Horsham where they said our car would be put yet it had about 75miles on my clock.............. I will not recommend this company to anyone and please no-one else use this company!!!!!! I will be taking this company through watchdog and please please do not use this company ANYONE!!!!!

We Booked With Gm&g Because Of The Low Price. Big

We booked with GM&G because of the low price. Big mistake! We too made too much allowance for traffic and were 20 mins early. I was worried that we were going to be late at check-in but the young man on the phone said, in a very snooty tone, that "all airlines tell you to be three hours early, it doesn't mean anything".

He told us to park at a petrol station nearby from where he'd guide us in to the departures area.

A scruffy young man turned up and we followed him to the airport, where he proceeded to boast about the many airlines he'd worked for. At his age? He must have been fired from every one after about two weeks. Probably the arrogant attitude.

Upon arriving back, we called from Passport Check and were told it was too early - call again from Arrivals! Which we did, and then had to wait for the same scruffy individual.

It was cold, we were jet-lagged and a parking warden was approaching. I made a quick dash round the car but couldn't see anything.

We took off and I immediately heard a whistling sound as if a window wasn't shut. I opened and closed the passenger door, but the noise continued.

When we got home I got out and tried to close the passenger door but couldn't. It had been pushed into the front of the door frame - must have been open while the "valet" reversed into something.

The driver's door had a sharp dent in it at the handle, but the employee had left the door open for my partner to get in, so consequently we didn't notice it.

I called the company and the arrogant youngster told me he wasn't liable, as the car must have been damaged whilst standing still, which is covered by my own car insurance! He then whined that I was calling him a liar, which I hadn't (yet), and hung up on me.

I called back and he hung up on me a second time, then just didn't bother to take the phone at all.

NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY. IT IS A JOKE. THEY CANNOT CONTINUE TO TREAT PEOPLE AND THEIR PROPERTY LIKE THIS. I urge you all to contact Surrey Trading Standards like myself.

I have only given them a star because for some reason the system won't let me give them none.
